I'd like to see him get open more in space catching timing passes while turning upfield. That makes it easier for him to use those return skills and make the first guy miss.
In the admittedly tiny number of plays we've seen from camp, he looks good at WR to me. Seems like he's improving all the time there.

When they're talking about getting more touches for guys like Turpin it's a sure sign that their talent on offense is lacking.

The same type of stuff happened with Tavon Austin. It's like, we don't have enough talented players so maybe we can use a guy with a specific skill more and make something out of that maybe hopefully knock on wood please holy mother of sweet baby Jesus in a manger?

But it never seems to come to fruition.

I just listened to several minutes of training camp live on the official site & then realized it was from 2018.

Was getting frustrated with how often they referenced Jason Garrett.

He's gone mf'ers...get over it!

Then there's a batted ball by Byron Jones...wtf?

That's the team website for you. Richest sports franchise in America but the website has mistakes all over it.

Totally agree.

We suck at RB, ok Turpin is now the special weapon at RB. Hell they have Bryan Broaddus basically preaching that he may be the best RB on the roster. GTFO, if that's the best RB on the roster, it's because you fucking suck at RB and have absolutely nothing there. This isn't some intentional thing, this is a, well shit we have to figure something out. If it was intentionally you'd draft a RB who is elusive and a great receiver. Instead you're trying to find a way to make a return specialist into an offensive player.

Do not excuse @mcnuttz

He should have clicked off when they said Garrett.
I'm at work doing several things at once, so was a little distracted.

What should have set off the alarms was the guy saying, "It's a packed house at Cowboys Training Camp!"

Honestly, that's the one thing that's going to hold the coaches back from starting him. If he can't consistently shotgun snap well they won't play him. It's not worth a bad snap a game to have a better blocking center. Coaches just won't do it. Beebee needs time to get comfortable where it's just automatic.

That's like, really bad.

I get wanting to cross train him but if he isn't significantly improved after his rookie year I'd scrap it.
I agree, I think he could be an elite guard. If he can get comfortable snapping I think he could be an elite center. I wouldn't cross train, I'd have the guy snapping and blocking all practice long every single day. And if he doesn't get it after a year, move him to guard and make him the Zach Martin replacement.

Yeah, he'll get it. I can see how your head would be in the mixer learning the playbook, learning a new position, and learning to snap at the same time. It'll just take enough reps, but he'll be fine.
