GTFOLike I said, I wouldn't care. If someone told me today that alcohol was now illegal and I would never have a beer again as long as I live, it wouldn't ruin my day. I can live without it and knowing the roads at night would be safer would be comforting.
Drugs are illegal, too. Good thing we don't have to worry about some crackhead going nuts any more.Like I said, I wouldn't care. If someone told me today that alcohol was now illegal and I would never have a beer again as long as I live, it wouldn't ruin my day. I can live without it and knowing the roads at night would be safer would be comforting.
Oh, so what you're saying is that compared to the alternative of losing alcohol priveledges altogether, just a law lowering the allowed BAL when driving isn't as bad as it's made out to be?There is a big difference between wanting to drink and wanting to be able to drink and drive.
I'm saying that they're two completely different things, and you can't make me choose one or the other. HAHOh, so what you're saying is that compared to the alternative of losing alcohol priveledges altogether, just a law lowering the allowed BAL when driving isn't as bad as it's made out to be?
COnversely, sales for tommy guns and black pinstripe suits with fedoras will go up.
Waaaah I want to be able to drink and drive home because I think I'm ok. Don't take my freedoms. Boo hoo
You know what else I want to do? Text and drive, because I'm damn good at it.Waaaah I want to be able to drink and drive home because I think I'm ok. Don't take my freedoms. Boo hoo
I honked and gave an "eyes on the road" gesture to some lady for texting and driving on the expressway a few days ago. Had the phone up in front of her face and was clearly not focused on the road. She seemed really surprised to get called out on it but I consider that at least as dangerous as someone with a .05 BAC behind the wheel. You know what else I want to do? Text and drive, because I'm damn good at it.
My wife one day called the number on the side of a van to report the driver for texting and driving. Turns out the one driving was the owner of the company. The lady got PISSED.I honked and gave an "eyes on the road" gesture to some lady for texting and driving on the expressway a few days ago. You'd live with it cause it wouldn't affect you but once again it's controlling people's behavior on the assumption that they can't control themselves.Like I said, I wouldn't care. Both are bad.Oh, so what you're saying is that compared to the alternative of losing alcohol priveledges altogether, just a law lowering the allowed BAL when driving isn't as bad as it's made out to be?
It does affect me. If people are driving drunk, it can affect me. If those cases decrease, it affects me in a positive way. You'd live with it cause it wouldn't affect you but once again it's controlling people's behavior on the assumption that they can't control themselves.
Which I find wrong.
Probably because FREEDOM.Why on earth would that dipshit veto a bill outlawing texting while driving?
