The more I think about it, the more I think it's perfect for a trade down opportunity. We are in an almost no-lose situation at 17. It's definitely a sweet spot in this draft for sure.

I'm absolutely game for that. The sweet spot for the draft as a whole is 2nd-4th rounds, IMO. Get me an extra 3rd or 4th and profit. The more I think about it, the more I think it's perfect for a trade down opportunity.
Same here my friend, same here, especially if we're looking for defensive backs (as things currently stand).I'm absolutely game for that. The sweet spot for the draft as a whole is 2nd-4th rounds, IMO. Get me an extra 3rd or 4th and profit.
Personally I hope he goes back to the Seahawks and repeats his 3 sacks in 13 games performance. People here would be furious with that type of production. And I get that he produces in other areas but those are some bad sack numbers for a DE. 4 forced fumbles and a pick on the other hand, I see some upside with.I'm betting he goes crawling back to Seattle for that 1 year deal to try to rebuild his market. I'm just glad he's not stealing money in Dallas.
Trading down definitely is starting to feel like the right move. Especially with as little as we have done in free agency. We added one starting DT.We are in an almost no-lose situation at 17. It's definitely a sweet spot in this draft for sure.
Sacks is how those guys get paid. He didn't get them, that's why he's not getting paid (among other reasons). Look no further than Robert Quinn. He got his (sacks) and then got his (money).Personally I hope he goes back to the Seahawks and repeats his 3 sacks in 13 games performance. People here would be furious with that type of production. And just like that, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are suddenly relevant again.
Jesus, we really just aren't trying anymore. It's sad when other teams are signing multiple good players and Dallas has basically signed one good dude. No idea what we would be waiting for now.
Another DT off the market.
One you sign a top talent like Maurice Canady, it is all downhill from there.Jesus, we really just aren't trying anymore. It's sad when other teams are signing multiple good players and Dallas has basically signed one good dude. No idea what we would be waiting for now.
I really like the McCoy signing but shit that's not going to fix this defense by itself. And while we know we will build through the draft the defense is going to be a big problem again if we don't do something to fix it. You can't just lose everyone and replace them with Canady level players and expect to get any better. One you sign a top talent like Maurice Canady, it is all downhill from there.
Well, there goes the last affordable free agent NT option...
Another DT off the market.
A loaded DT market and we essentially sit it out.Jesus, we really just aren't trying anymore. It's sad when other teams are signing multiple good players and Dallas has basically signed one good dude. No idea what we would be waiting for now.
Nor can you expect the draft to be a home run.I really like the McCoy signing but shit that's not going to fix this defense by itself. Bum.
