Yeah I can definitely see that. The problem is if everyone goes into the draft with that thought process than the WRs are going to still go often and early. Maybe it will push some DTs or Safety's down as a result.

Clowney badly overrated his market. He thought he deserved Lawrence type money but sack numbers speak. And the dude just isn't a high level pass rusher no matter how bad he wants to be. You're not going to get 20 mil to produce 6 sacks every year. With an injury history too.

I'm guessing he gets stuck with a one year deal that pays him well hoping he can hit some sacks and cash in next year.

You guessed right. 3-years, $50 million with $30 million guaranteed. He quickly eclipsed Byron Jones as the highest paid corner, just like he wanted.

I'm glad it wasn't the Cowboys.

We are in an almost no-lose situation at 17. It's definitely a sweet spot in this draft for sure.

And yet, somehow, the Texans gave Hopkins away and then followed that up by giving Randal Cobb $9 million a year!
