This might be the one single most awesome thing he has said so far.
I'd go so far as to say it is the most encouraging thing he has said in his short tenure as the coach.

You cannot be stubborn or arrogant and continue to try and force issues despite repeated struggles or failures. If it isn't working or isn't what's best, a wise person is going to adjust when required.

If he means this, then this will be great for the team and the players as individuals.

Yep. One of the things that makes Belichick the GOAT is that he adjusts his scheme to his personnel. He can win with just about any player package and has proven it year after year.

Good I think its the coaches that have gotten us into hot water with guys like Hill over Thornhill and reaching for Taco. Enough with the pet cats, lets go get the top rated players.
In other words, let Will McClay do his damn job.

Yeah, it's the one and only thing that has gone right in this organization despite the circus atmosphere and dysfunctional manner in which they conduct business.

Now that we have a competent coaching staff to go along with it, the team should benefit even more from McClay's ability to identify and acquire talent successfully.

Well that's good of him to give McCarthy time to actually coach some games before judging him.

Who was the last Dallas assistant coach/coordinator to get a head coaching job in the pros? And I don't mean guys like Zimmer, who had two other stops after Dallas. Wannstedt?

he picked him up?

I remember him losing his temper and getting in Jerrys face but I never heard about this?

Details?
That's from the Hatcher interview where he lights up Jerry, Romo, Witten, Garret, basically anybody white on the team.
