I don't think I know Robin Williams' political leanings. Now if you were talking about your old avatar, yeah. Jim Carrey? His stance on socialism alone makes him an idiot.
That is part of the reason I changed avs. But, Robin was pretty far left, and I miss him.

Speaking of Cruise, they've been running promos of him doing the next Mission Impossible and he literally rides a motorcycle off a ramp before about a million foot cliff where I guess he parachutes down. So he really does that? I know he does crazy stunts, but this looks insane. How is he not dead yet? Or is it CGI?
He really did the stunt on his own. Below is a great video of him practicing the stunt. I posted this back in December.

I knew Cruise did a lot of his stunts but I had no idea he was doing high risk ones like in the this upcoming Mission Impossible movie.

9+ minutes long but worth the watch.

The video from that December post isn't working anymore, at least for me.

Here's the same video in a different tweet.

His balls are 10 times bigger than mine. Not afraid to say it.

I watch Tom Cruise movies, and yes, for the most part I like them.

I would not, however, give any credibility to a documentary made by him.

There is a difference.

What about Born on the Fourth of July?

That was a long time ago, brother.

I would say I was probably indifferent with that one.

As I said, for the most part I like them... Some I could do without.

Just like I liked Passion of the Christ.

But I hesitate to give credibility to a Caviezel documentary because of his adherence to Q-Anon whacko beliefs.

I used that because I think it's a much better analog. It's not a documentary. It's a movie based on a true story. He's an actor portraying a real person who went through these real things.

I world never say, "Cruise is a Scientologist loon, therefore I don't believe the trauma of the Vietnam vet is real." The actor's personal beliefs don't even matter in that case.

But that's what some are doing with this movie. Mostly, in my view, because they're being told that by certain media.

I remember that it's a movie... that's just my point.

But what it definitely is not is a documentary.

I liked Platoon, but don't like The Untold History of the United States.

Plus the director is the one who sets the tone of movies. I'm sure top tier actors like Cruise have some input, but from my understanding it's the directors who decide what's in or out of a movie. That's why I don't think an actor's political ideals should be the lone determining factor when deciding whether or not to watch a movie.

Look no further than Oliver Stone/Kevin Costner in JFK.

Costner had very little input in all the radical shit Oliver Stone tried to present as fact or plausible in that movie.

Mission Impossible Dead Reckoning was really good.

Unlike the Fast and Furious franchise they've mastered how to insert a ton of high level stunts into their movies without the stunts appearing too far-fetched.

Can't wait to check out part 2 next summer.
