Ragnarok was the 3rd one, right? A lot of people seem to praise that one but I thought it was awful.
I think that was it. It was like an opera or something. Or at least a musical.

I agree!!!

:unsure
I watched the movie with both my children and it was a shared experience.

I apologize that you probably watched it alone…in the dark…eating ice cream in which the first ingredient is not cream with an overly large spoon.

Sorry, don't need Thor turned into a weird comedy with the dumbfuck premise that his weapons are jealous of each other.
That was purely the director. Yeah, it was not for everyone but let’s not pretend it is the biggest Marvel Turkey ever because it is not even close.

Sometimes simple campy comedy is what we need. Life is already a dark comedy.

If done right.

I mostly don't like campiness in a superhero movie. It can be pulled off, like the Nicholson Batman movie. But mostly I think they fail.

Goddamn you are snob.

True.

I do have a philosophy associated with it though, which may incriminate me even further.

My theory is that the very concept of having super powers is already inherently very campy. So to make a campy movie on top of a campy concept is usually too much.

For the most part superhero movies work best when they lean in the other direction and are gritty and have a relatively real feel. Like the Nolan Batmans.

You thought through this shit way more than I was willing.

Love it. First and third were great. Second movie was subpar but still funny.
Each one is at least good with the first being the best and then down from there. The Wolverine one was fun but could have been a lot more.
