I can't say you're wrong, but even that is incredibly impressive.Hate to nitpick but he's really not an elite pitcher. He's a very good pitcher.
When I think of elite pitchers I think of guys who are stacking up Cy Youngs, winning pitching triple crowns, leading the league in Ks, ERA, etc.
Ohtani's done none of that yet.
That part too.And he might never pitch again.
That 3rd home run looked like a meatball that was purposely served up by a team with nothing to play for. That's the same guy who just became the sport's first ever 50/50 member in a game where he hit 3 hr, stole 2 bases, and racked up 10 RBI.
I mean, just read that last paragraph again and tell me it doesn't sound ridiculous!
I'd be very surprised if he didn't pitch again, at least in some capacity. That part too.
But I'd be surprised if they don't at least try to use him as a middle reliver. Hell, maybe he has the balls to be a closer. There have been quite a few former starting pitchers who made a successful transition to closer roles.
i know your stance I just like to yank your chain. its just something we arent ever going to agree on but thats ok.Also, I think you misunderstand my position on strike outs.
It's not that they're good, all outs are bad. Which is the point. Strikeouts are way way over vilified. All outs are bad.
You just gave back some hard-earned Merchant of Chaos points.i know your stance I just like to yank your chain. its just something we arent ever going to agree on but thats ok.

Yup, just saw it. Belt high 68 mph floater. Wtf?That 3rd home run looked like a meatball that was purposely served up by a team with nothing to play for.
It reminded me of the softball Chan Ho Park served up to Cal Ripken Jr in Ripken's final All-Star game.
The shortstop was probably pitching by that point. That 3rd home run looked like a meatball that was purposely served up by a team with nothing to play for.
