It feels like we're being prepped for the inevitable. Several writers seem to be pushing a pro Moore narrative.

I want to give him a pass in San Diego as far as the passing attack goes. I think their WRs were always hurt and playing with Palmer as a 1 and a bad rookie year for Quentin Johnson. Then I look at this season and even with a limited QB the weapons should have been enough to be better than 29.

Long story short - Kellen sucks.

Weird and sad to see Werder openly stumping for a Jerry pick like Moore.

And Ed makes no sense. Harbaugh did fix the Chargers in one year, and Moore walked into incredible offensive talent in Philly.

Maybe he was one of Ed's sources.

I mean I think that's a bit deceptive with the Eagles. They ranked 7th in the NFL in points. He minimized the impact of Jalen Hurts by passing the ball less. I'm not going to ding the guy because he didn't throw the ball all over the field. Hurts averaged 8 yards a pass and kept him from fucking things up. It's funny because our biggest complaint in Dallas is that he got cute and wanted to pass the ball all over while our QB was getting creamed and rarely stuck to the run. The Eagles offense is a pretty big shift from that.

Now the Chargers, that was a bit of a disaster.

It's pretty obvious with the hard Rooney bent of the early interviews.

If they did some half-assed, slapstick search that took 5 days and ended up with them only interviewing Marvin Lewis and Kellen Moore the outrage would be massive. Everybody knows Moore is one of the frontrunners because of the "unique" way Jerry operates, so he can't make it too obvious.

The longer it's strung out the more plausible deniability they have.

It will be Moore, Witten will be the TE coach (maybe assistant HC even), and the DC will be either Zimmer, Saleh or Frazier, and the OC might be one of the Washington guys given their ties.

This is purely based on passing yards. I've said it many times, passing yards is a very overrated statistic. Judging Kellen based on passing yards makes no sense to me.

Still retarded. If you wish so much pain and misery on the team, why do you even waste your time remaining a fan? If something made me this miserable, I sure as fuck wouldn't continue to keep it in my life.
I kinda get it. If you’ve loved the team your whole life, it’s hard to not feel the frustration and honestly, at times hatred for what Jones has done to this franchise.

And the biggest “fuck you” he gives the fans is that 99% of the dysfunction and issues go away if he simply steps aside and lets real football people run the team. True fans who understand the game and how things should be run probably have the toughest time with how the Cowboys are a laughing stock because of the clowns behind the scenes.

That simultaneously is absolutely ridiculous and inexcusable, and not at all surprising.

These dumbasses thought they could squeeze McCarthy and he'd just take it, and had no other plan other than McCarthy coming back.

It's unfathomably dumb to not be prepared for every contingency and at the same time exactly how they do everything.

Werder should know better.
Belichick and Lombardi both are on McAfee regularly. They aren’t coming back to NFL at least this upcoming season. It’s a pipe dream for some and click bait for these writers and other twitter clowns.

Exactly. Just confirms what we all thought -- Jerry had no plan other than for Mike to kiss his ring and beg Daddy Jerry to come back.

The other part is the guys on that podcast acting like Deion is some perfect combination of Nick Saban and Mother Teresa. I feel like I'm taking crazy pills.

I used to follow the Sixers religiously from the 70's to the 90's. Once the NBA (and the Sixers) started becoming a joke and causing me more grief than enjoyment, I stopped following. Why continue to purposely bring anguish into your life, when it starts outweighing why you started following in the first place. Makes no sense to me.

Yeah. Jerry is an idiot. He and his family run the team like a bunch of morons. But I still enjoy following the team. Still enjoy watching the games. Still enjoy following the league. If that ever stops, I'll stop. If I ever start actually hoping that the team fails, I'll just walk away.

Talking shit about these morons is part of the deal though, it's like how they say the time to worry is when you never argue with your spouse since it's a sign of being totally checked out.

Talking the most disgusting shit about these morons is part of still caring.

Watched a little longer and at 22:07 or so Chase Daniel -- who knows Kellen and has been texting with him recently -- compares Kellen to Garrett and actually says he's Garrett 2.0. (Misspoke and said Kellen 2.0, but that's what he meant.) :doh

I’m not talking about that. Talk shit. Bitch about the stupid things done by our front office. I’m talking about actually hoping the team fails. What is the point of remaining a fan if that is so? About being so miserable it’s no longer just entertainment.

It's more hoping Jerry fails than the team. Most of us have been around since before Jerry, and separate the two.

But overall I actually agree with you in a way... spending this much time on a sports team is irrational anyway. We all probably should be something productive. But sports fandom isn't about logic.

Yea, I can see some people taking solace in the (likely) fact that Jerry will never win another Super Bowl on his own. It's basically just a "this guy is the source of our disappoinment, so fuck him" type of thing.

Once he's gone I don't think anybody will be saying "I'm so glad Stephen will never win a Super Bowl on his own".
