Would you take Deion more seriously if he didn’t have all the flash around him? To me, it’s not so much the limited experience. The gold chains, the 10K sunglasses, etc I think really undermines his ability to look professional.
Would you take that look or the HC in Miami that wears the same pants as my daughter?

So Belt was right about Jerry wanting Witten on Mike's staff and making him an heir apparent. :doh

And Jerry actually wanted Mike to reduce the size of the coaching staff? Cheap MFer. :angry

If he is actually thinking about retiring then it's hard to imagine that he would be a HC candidate.

All this does is reaffirm my opinion that we're about enter the worst and most hopeless era of Cowboys football I've ever witnessed.

He didn’t ask Garrett directly on camera if he’s interested?

I’m surprised there hasn’t already been a mention of it, even just for clickbait. With none of that going around, Garrett must be definitively saying ‘no’

It does feel pretty bleak, like wandering through the wastelands a few years after the Super Bowls before Parcells showed up...except we have nothing to look back on fondly besides some draft picks and a few 12 win seasons.

Finding Romo and Prescott delayed it, but it was always coming.

This year could be the 1986. One more middling season (1987 went 7-8) then it’s Cleveland Browns time.

I think he’s pointing out to Dez all the kneecaps in the stands.

As crazy as it sounds I’d roll the dice on Witten before goofy fucking Moore or some of the other guys you know Jerry might hire. I can’t believe I’m saying that. At least the guy had some competitive fire to him. :shrug

I’ll admit, the circus atmosphere is what scares me the most about him. Dallas is already known for that with Jerry. I think he’d just magnify that.

Deion over Capri Pants any day... But I don't think Deion would do well. Anyone remember earlier this year when he blew up at the softball Boulder media for not supporting him enough? And that's with him having his ass kissed the last few years. Not that we have a tough media, but imagine the scrutiny if/when we go around .500 or worse.

This is all incredibly disheartening. I can't remember it being this bleak in a long long time.

It's funny because just about 1 year ago, right before the Packers game, things seemed like they were on a pretty good track.

And 12 months later like a drunk driver behind the wheel Jerry just drove this thing completely off the tracks in the blink of an eye.

Listening to this Slater report it just seems insane, these are the things insane people do. There's no sense to any of this.

At least with Campo, yes the team was in free fall, but at least you could look forward to a time when they moved on and found a real coach. It wasn't completely hopeless.

But this? This is off the reservation type of stuff. I just don't see it getting any better. Because the way they've handled just about everything in the last twelve months, and the way they seem determined to handle the head coaching situation, and on top of that the cheapness - the lack of spending on staff, on coaches, on trainers, on players, on everything - it just seems like there's no hope whatsoever.

Not even when Jerry blessedly dies, because it seems like his inbred family is even worse.

Bleak is the perfect word for it. It's just, bleak.

Kellen Moore is actually a legitimate candidate being floated out there.
I think he will make a terrible head coach. But let's not pretend that other NFL teams aren't showing interest in him. We act like that's a turd no one wants. Obviously some in the league disagree.

I just don't think he has the personality for it at all.

What's even scarier is the statement that Jerry is doing this on his own
