I hope the Giants allow Garrett to hang around for 10 years like Jerry.

5. Garrett’s schemes remain a concern. But the overall offensive game management was shaky Sunday.
Leading 7-3 late in the first half, the Giants got the ball at their own 4-yard line after safety Logan Ryan forced a fumble. The entire mindset in that situation appeared to be “Don’t make a mistake.” Devontae Booker ran the ball out of a jumbo formation for 1 yard on first down. In another heavy personnel grouping on second down, Garrett called a play-action pass to fullback Eli Penny in the flat that was incomplete. And on third-and-9, there was a 2-yard out to Rudolph that had no chance of picking up a first down. The Giants ran only 1:40 off the clock before punting to the Broncos, who drove for a touchdown to take the lead before halftime.
Then, in the fourth quarter, the Giants showed no urgency after the Broncos took a 20-7 lead with 12:44 remaining. The Giants continued to run the ball and huddled after each play as precious time ticked away. A 14-play drive chewed up 6:19 before ending in a turnover on downs from Denver’s 6-yard line.
