Correct. You can't, can't, can't involve yourself anywhere near this kind of bullshit. See ya bye.
ray lewis career wasnt effected was it his rep was all good because why hes HOF LB who never was questioned about this again..hes not cooked hes simply a POI for questioning , if he tells the truth and cooperates, nothing much will come from it..

IO luv how fans are judge and jury over what little information the media let out and the police don't know the entire story and players is being questioned about it, hes already guilty..lmao.

i sure hope none of you ever land on jury duty. guilty that the verdict before facts are laid out..

Was he in the car during the shooting? Or just around a street fight? Being around a street fight happens all the time. This just ended with some bitch in a car being a coward. Now if he was in the car during a drive by I may be with you. Again, just need to know more.

He isn't but until I know more what Ray Lewis did was far more awful. Now if I here that it was Bossman's car and he ditched the gun for the dude I may feel differently. That's why I say you have to know way more. If he wasn't the shooter than this shit will either be an eye opening chance for the kid to rethink his life or he needs to be cut. If you're an NFL player you can't also be a wanna be thug hanging out with guys who think they are gangsters with guns and shit.

All I know is if I was with someone who turned around and killed a dude over a fight it would be pretty funny scary and eye opening to me. But it's not for everyone.

I'm a lawyer so yeah, I have a pretty good idea of how this all works.

But that's not what I'm talking about. My opinion doesn't have anything to do with whether he's specifically guilty or innocent of this crime.

I'm not even talking about his career. Some other team is welcome to pick him up and deal with him. I don't think he should be deprived of his career unless he's convicted and goes to prison.

But he made the decision to run with a crew that's willing to kill a man. Someone killed the guy. I don't think it was Joseph but it sure seems like it was probably someone he was running with. That says quite a lot about a guy's character. Who's to say that the next incident won't be him? I now don't trust him. Can you imagine relying on the guy as your starter and the week before a playoff game, he does something along these lines and is suspended or something? We'll wish we'd already moved on.

Go back to Parcells. He cut a guy for GETTING shot. Because when you are running a team, you don't want guys who are running with things like this. You can't trust or rely on them. And if they are making decisions like this, then it's an indication that football just isn't important enough.

It's not about whether he's guilty or innocent in a legal sense.

He's on video as being at the scene. Even if he's completely innocent legally, he's clearly involving himself in things and people that he shouldn't.

You bring up Ray Lewis, but Lewis was legitimately a HOF talent. I don't see that in Joseph. Which makes the headache not worth it.

Note that I'm replying to you and your opinions with respect, despite the fact that your post was borderline insulting. I have no desire to get into a pissing match so if you insist on that, you and I are done here.

This is exactly what I said, I'm not passing judgment on his guilt/innocence or saying he shouldn't be allowed to play in the NFL, but he had character flags coming out of college (12 months ago) and this is a huge escalation of those flags.

Basically the relative reward isn't worth the headache/inability to trust this guy.

Let's say he gets cleared fully and a year or two from now we're counting on him to start and he goes off and does some dumb shit, how much of a hole are we in then?

Some might feel the risk is worth the reward, but considering that we're probably only talking about a decent/good starting CB at best, I don't think it is.

So here is my thing. Lots of players on our team have been around bar fights. It happens all the time. Hell if you have ever been a person who goes to bars you've probably been around a bar fight. I'm not going to overreact to that simply because one of the dudes involved in the fight is unhinged. I feel like LT in saying this but I'd just wait and see. I don't want to jump to a conclusion about the guys character because he was in the wrong place at the wrong time. And yes Parcells probably would cut him without caring about any of the other facts. But Parcells was a different cat. Hell even Belichick held on to Hernandez far longer than he should have.

But I'm also not one that thinks we need to wait to see if he is convicted of Murder before making a decision. I expect that everyone will start to rat on each other and the facts will come out pretty quickly. And if Bossman and the others aren't talking, then it probably speaks enough to me as an organization that he isn't the type of guy I want around my team. And this is coming from a criminal defense attorney who repeatedly tells clients to exercise their right to remain silent.

I run with buddies who I know would be willing to kill someone as well, if it ever came down to it.

But I also trust their discretion that they're not going to start shooting just because I or another buddy gets in a fist fight.

If these bastards trade up for a CB when Jordan Davis is on the board, I'll continue to be an angry fan.

It's a completely fair and reasonable reaction to wait and see.

Speaking of Wright, now would be a really good time for him to step up.
Yeah I know he was great in camp. But I saw zero out of the guy in preseason and the regular season that got me excited. I just don't think he can react quick enough to stuff. But hey, maybe he will improve. Sure would be a good time for Quinn's pet cat to step up.

I agree all around. He doesn't look like a player to me. That said, guys definitely can make crazy jumps in year two.

Assuming they keep Joseph (and I'm guessing they will), and he's not suspended or anything, Wright is probably 5th corner on the team. Hard to make an impact from there.

But if he does ball out in camps and so forth, it would be nice to see him make this Joseph drama moot.
