Jigga and I go way back, he's fine. You gonna take that, 1big? F him up!
I'm not going to say with 100% certainty, but I'm pretty damn sure that's racist.Jigga and I go way back, he's fine.
That does not say he will be back no matter what, that says that JJ will make a decision not based on wins and loses for the rest of the season but on some other criteria that only JJ knows."It does not have a bearing on whether or not he will be our coach next year"
You are right it doesn't say it but odds are Garrett will be back. I think Jones feels that Garrett is good for the team and he just needs to find the right combination of coaches to surround him with. That's not my assessment of the situation, however. That does not say he will be back no matter what, that says that JJ will make a decision not based on wins and loses for the rest of the season but on some other criteria that only JJ knows.
Agreed. I think this is another indication that Jones really badly wants Garrett to be HC and will look for any excuse to keep him in place. I do think there is probably a scenario or two where Garrett could get fired (we go belly up and finish with 5-7 wins), but I think Jones' statement probably should be interpreted to mean that even in borderline scenarios like if we finish 8-8 and out of the playoffs Garrett will likely return. You are right it doesn't say it but odds are Garrett will be back.
