Garrett is done regardless what happens the rest of the season. So I see no point in praying for the Eagles or Redskins to win the division.

Everybody keeps saying he's gone no matter what but none of us know that. I won't put it past Jerry to give Garrett a couple year extension and use making the playoffs 2 years in a row as the excuse so I don't want us to win another game

The fan and media backlash would be massive if he did that. Plus, as an old wildcatter, I think he realizes he's plumbing a dry well by this point.

Exactly. Football is so week to week... that's one reason we love it, because each game is so important.

But that means moods can also change from negative to positive very quickly. This team is most likely going to host a playoff game, which means millions for Jerry on that one game alone. What if they happen to win that game with home field advantage? People's opinions might change enough for Jerry to keep him. I wouldn't doubt it at all.

Garrett's had so many lives, it takes silver bullets and a wooden stake through the heart to finish him off.

They keep saying it because you're wrong. Jerry knows Garrett is toast as much as we all do. If he holds on to Garrett much longer he will start losing significant numbers of fans and he knows it.

I'd say from listening to Jerry lately he's looking for any reason to keep his buddy and won't be surprised at all if just winning the division gets him a small extension. Jerry has told us over and over , "I wasn't lying, I meant it at the time"

Which is why we need to keep losing so as not to give him an excuse. Jerry giving Garrett an extension if we win the division without winning another game and losing the playoff game will be a lot harder to sell than us winning a couple of the next games

It's because we are abused little children who expect the worst. Wanting to lose so that the coach is fired after this point is overkill that will damage the players for the next coach.

The way things are going though it may not matter. I don't think Garrett is capable of getting these guys to win at this point. If they win it's going to have to be a Varsity Blue type moment where the players just ignore the coach and go out and try to win on their own.

"well, what can you do? I'm gonna support my team regardless, jeri aint gonna keep me from being a fan gawd dammit" (read in your best hick, dumbfuck voice)
