Here we go with the Messiah coach search, as if any of them will overcome the Jones family pathology. None of them has for 25 years

Soon it will be time for the Messiah draft pick -- eyes heavenward, oh please, Lord, deliver unto us the draft pick that will deliver us unto the Promised Land.

Gosh outside of Parcells I'm not sure I can think of a coach hiring that any of us have felt good about since Jimmy. So I'll just have to wait and see on the coaching search before I dog the results. It's better than more Garrett at this point.

A man was hitting himself in the head with a hammer. Another man said, "Why are you doing that?"

The first man said, "Cause if feels so good when I stop."

Check this out at about 3:45. Remember when Belichick was going crazy asking everyone where McVay was in the Superbowl last year? Meyer explains that. Think our Red ever does anything like this?

The whole series with him is great:

So fascinating.

THAT'S the type of HC I want. That level of attention to detail.

What about Matt Rhule?
He's excellent. And unlike some college coaches, nobody can claim he's just a great recruiter.

Would he want to stay in college where he'll soon be as hot a name as anyone? Maybe. But he's a big admirer of Parcells, and Bill took this job so...

If Baylor beats Oklahoma, he could have that program in the playoffs. I don't think he could get any hotter after that.

his experience beats the hell out of Garretts when he was hired (unless you give a lot of value to holding a clipboard for years)

Yeah, go look at the records of Temple and Baylor before he got there and then when he took over.

But if we got him, he'd have to lose that ridiculous smock.

If new 2020 coach, I hope we go 2-14. The chatter wars here will be glorious.

agreed and on that note, I feel like the best candidate might be someone none of us have heard of but perhaps has a lot of years in the league, tons of experience & respect among other NFL coaches.

If that person exists, I don't know how to find him and sadly I have no confidence the Dallas gm can either
Hmmm....
