It's cool that Jerry is going to drag his heels breaking up with his boyfriend for so long that we're going to be the last fucking team to fire their coach.

You already have teams out here firing assistants and GM's and here we are, putzing around with lunch dates and bullshit.

I'd still be suspicious. How many of Gruden's coaches do you think Rivera will retain in DC? Probably next to none. They all want "their" guys.
I don't think its unheard of for a new coach to keep an assistant or two. Shit the Colts kept their defensive coordinator after McDaniels screwed them. Even though they hired him for McDaniels.

No idea but they haven't fired all the assistants yet either have they? Besides the Redskins are possibly the worst run organization in the NFL. I wouldn't use them as an example for anything.

Supposedly Kevin O'Connell, basically the Redskins version of Kellen Moore except not as accomplished, will remain on Rivera's staff. And I believe it will be as the OC.

So...yea.

I don't think it's uncommon for a new coach to like one or two of the previous assistants.

That's not 100% true. If you are coming from another NFL team, you can't just poach half of the staff you came from. "Their Guys" aren't going to all be available right away. Remember how much trouble Parcells had building a staff when all of 'his guys' were working for Mangini and Belichick?

Hey now, let's not rush things here. Let Jason and Jerry get their customary afternoon tea and crumpets, maybe a little light rub and tug, and then they can sit down and really start to hash things out as far as the best way to move forward.

I really hope Garrett is gone. But I have a bad feeling we'll get something like Zimmer and Norv Turner as our replacement.

I don't think a new HC would work in Dallas. Needs to be someone with the balls to tell Jerry/Stephen, etc. to back off. Which is basically what he doesn't want.

I like Kitna a lot, and I think he should stay, but that isn’t, or at least it shouldn’t be up to Jerry fucking Jones.

Who does this shit? “Hey, you wanna be the next head coach here, bubba? Mmkay, I alreadyhave some of your assistants hired, you are going to be okay with that, right?”.
i agree but the jets tried this with Rhule and he backed out of interviewing with them which instantly makes me respect and covet his services while also knowing he’ll never be an option in Dallas for the reasons I love him

Has anyone told Jerry he’s a fucking idiot to his face?
I’ll do it, just tell me where I can find that fucker
