How some of these GMs and whatnot can justify $5M per on a player like Carter is simply amazing to me.
Jesus, call me glad he won't be back. Did they actually watch film on the guy or did they just see his INT stat line and assume he was good?
Well, thank god we didn't resign him them. Have a nice life Bruce
Buhbye, Brucey.
It's based more on contract value and playing time.Comp picks looking mighty good, or does performance have something to do with it?
It's crazy that a guy I wouldn't even want starting on my defense is getting 5 mil a year.Well, thank god we didn't resign him them. Have a nice life Bruce
You mean, like Parnell? It's crazy that a guy I wouldn't even want starting on my defense is getting 5 mil a year.
Money is the biggest factor I think. But they do look at Pro Bowls/All Pro nods and also playing time.Comp picks looking mighty good, or does performance have something to do with it?
I guess Dallas figures it is dumb to try to sign a good veteran like Freeney to plug a hole for a year.
We are entertaining the idea of signing Spencer. I don't see the difference. How is Freeney a good veteran? He's about done. No thanks.
Please. You like to bitch about Mincey, but think Freeney would be a good veteran to sign? He had a way better season than Freeney did.We are entertaining the idea of signing Spencer. I don't see the difference.
The general point is we have real issues plugging in veterans. Nobody is saying insert "progess stoppers".
But sorry, even old ass Freeney is better than anybody we have right now.

And I'm not talking about not signing a progress stopper. I'm talking about not wasting money on a player that is D.O.N.E.
It's also interesting that a guy like Carter is getting as much as Murray's been offered. It's crazy that a guy I wouldn't even want starting on my defense is getting 5 mil a year.
