We gave up more for Trey Lance than we got for Amari Cooper.

Happy weekend, everyone.
Yeah notice how the day before the trade the 49ers announced they were keeping Trey Lance unless a good fit in a trade came along. Yeah that's how you keep a guys value up.

Not by saying you're cutting him if a trade can't be worked out.

This is not happening until he can dress on game days. I don’t think he is anywhere close to that right now.
These people are delusional. Lance won't even be active unless someone gets hurt.

The Saints only did that because they didn't have a QB. I'm not sold on Dak to be sure, but my God, he's miles better than the interception machine known as Jameis Winston.

The trade tells you just how much SF thinks of Lance.

Would you consider trading a player with upside to a team you’ve had to face in the playoffs two years in a row and probably will see again for the next few years?

And they got a 4th? That little fag head coach and walking penis John Lynch are laughing right now.
They were like hey how about a 5th.

And we were like no sir, we got a 5th for Cooper. How about a 4th instead?

It's been a while since Jerry told us how most of his best deals, people told him he overpaid for. We're hearing that Monday. Book it. ~ points bat ~

I also noticed that Shanahan said he needs to play more. I don't see how that happens here, at least for a while.
We're sending him with Hutch to the Rhein Fire to get the snaps he needs.

Yeah that's the problem in the NFL. Even your backup QB barely gets snaps during practice during the regular season. Lance is going to basically be scout team offense all year. The NFL isn't really set up to develop QBs very well.

But I'm sure McCarthy remembers Aaron Rodgers basically totally rebuilding everything over a couple years in the NFL and is hoping to do that with Lance.

And don't get me wrong, I would absolutely love for that to happen. I've become as big a McCarthy fan as probably anyone. I really like him and think the way he handles Jerry and the media spotlight here is very underrated. So if he could make Lance into a serviceable NFL QB it would help him and the team, and probably increase his chances of staying here a few more years.

But I just don't see it. If Kyle Shanahan thinks you're hopeless, you're most likely hopeless. I mean they kept Sam Darnold over this guy, and Sam Darnold flat cannot play.

This is stupid. I understand taking a flyer on potential but this dude is not an NFL QB.

Yep. But yay, and stuff.

It won’t. He will be an improvement on the scout team playing a running QB though.
