This is direct quote from one of the Cowboys' staffers regarding Dez:

“Based on last year, he does very few things really well.”

Spot on. Concisely stated. No emotion, just stone cold evaluation.

I've actually changed my mind and think we should absolutely keep Dez one more year even if we draft a wr in the 1st. Let's not give Garrett ANY excuse for himself if he fails this year

So basically, what a lot of DCCers have been saying for months. Cut him and be done with it, just talking about him all offseason makes him a distraction now. Do it if they're serious about improving this team going forward because at this point in his career, Dez is a progress stopper. I'm actually sick of hearing about him, Dez this, Dez that, cut him, keep him, on and on. :words Cutting him would be like opening a window to let fresh air in the house during spring after having them shut all winter. If another team takes a flyer on him, good luck to he and his new team.

I understand the ramifications for the cap but this team most likely isn't winning a SB after the 2018 season anyway so what's the point of sweating it and prolonging the inevitable?

Well, this is not news here. Basically been saying this since 2015.

It's only news because a Cowboys' staffer is now voicing it.
