Why the restructure if Coop only counts 10 mil against the cap this year? Quinn shouldn't count that much.

Cooper can play in the slot perfectly fine so this idea that we'd only take a slot-type in Ruggs and not a superior prospect in Lamb or Jeudy would only come from some fuckboi like KD Drummond who spends more time trying to get retweets than learning how the sport is played.

With all that said, I really like Ruggs and could maybe argue that he'd be the BPA, but ultimately I don't think WR will be too much of a priority at 17, especially not if a guy like Kinlaw is available. There are a few decent under the radar slot types available in FA (Taylor Gabriel, Demarcus Robinson, Paul Richardson) who we could probably entice on a 1 year deal with a chance to rehab their career with all the offensive talent we have, not to mention the extremely deep/strong WR class in the draft.

I also think with McCarthy around we might actually see Pollard utilized more in the passing game, which would theoretically decrease our reliance on a 3rd/slot type WR.

Stephen is 100000% content to sit here and re-sign guys like Cooper, Quinn, Cobb, Collins and Heath and then take a nap until the draft.
This is true.

The man has zero interest in pursuing tier 1 free agents. Tier 2 free agents like Randall Cobb are what he prefers.

That's the new normal here in Dallas.

With the Cardinals acquiring DeAndre Hopkins & the Colts trading out of the 13th slot I think there's a very good chance that Lamb or Jeudy falls into the laps of the Cowboys at 17.

But I'm with you on Kinlaw. Adding another elite prospect at WR would be fine and all, but adding a talented DT would fill a much bigger need and could arguably have a bigger impact on the team's success.

Depends on how they are structuring Dak and Quinn. They may want to front-load Quinn's contract a bit.

I love how people who defended his lack of INTs shared "highlight" videos of him doing something benign like batting away a pass in the red zone. That's nice and all but it sure would have been nice if he picked off some of those passes. That way instead of just holding teams to FGs the Cowboys could have held opponents to 0 points on those drives.
He never even tried for the ball. It was almost as if he was too scared to get beat to try something out of the ordinary. You know, like he was playing not to get beat. Who else did we know for 10 years that coached games the same way?
