Tight ends that are rarely used, mind you.Wonder if we could have had a shifty type back like Sproles outta the draft instead of 17 fuckin tight ends.

WAY superior.Think we could ever get Dez on a LB like that?
Didn't think so.
Payton is far superior to Garrett.
Well, I haven't checked it out, but if it's true that we had run more than we passed until we lost the lead, you can't really make the argument that we had forgotten about the running game.I didn't say we went pass happy early, you dense fucking dickweed. I said we didn't stick with the run when it was working. You know like we did against the Rams when we won easily. To the tune of 25 of 59 total plays of the game.
Huh.What is scary is who we interviewed. That gives you what Jerry wants.
Rivera? Singletary?
Not a single guy with any skins on the wall.
The Gruden or Lovie Smith things seem to fit...but I just don't know who could succeed.
I don't think anyone, honestly.
It is just depressing.
He seems like a fucking retard on TV. Pass.I really don't like Gruden anymore.
I used to think he was cool as a sideline coach, but his tenure as an announcer has really put a bad taste in my mouth.
Huh.
Amazing what a guy can do without an idiot owner making excuses for players that his scheme is "too complicated".
I'm not a fan of Ryan and I think it's too soon to start propping him, but I did defend the guy by making the case that being confused and not knowing what to do were things this unit suffered from while Wade was here too.Amazing what a guy can do without an idiot owner making excuses for players that his scheme is "too complicated".
Looks like our players were just too fucking dumb and who would care anyway with the leagues worst GM making excuses for them anyhoo.
No, let's stop trading back and getting cute and just go get the guy we know is good.Jerry will just screw it up, so let's not draft anymore!
Rex Ryan was not great but he got way too much blame. His unit was decimated by injuries last year.I'm not a fan of Ryan and I think it's too soon to start propping him, but I did defend the guy by making the case that being confused and not knowing what to do were things this unit suffered from while Wade was here too.
Maybe we haven't had the best coordinators in football, who knows? But I do know that we've also had a team full of chokers and dummies for quite some time, and to place all of the blame in their play at the feet of Wade or Ryan would be a mistake.......especially given the culture that exists in Dallas.
McMahon can STFU. If I felt like looking it up I'm quite sure he was one of the guys throwing Ryan under the bus after he left.
I agree, which is why I wanted him gone.McMahon can STFU. If I felt like looking it up I'm quite sure he was one of the guys throwing Ryan under the bus after he left.
Ryan's defenses in Dallas weren't anything special prior to the injuries and they were pretty average in 2011 as well.
Wade failed, Ryan failed, now Monte Kiffin will fail, when in reality I don't think the defensive coordinating was bad under any of them.I agree, which is why I wanted him gone.
With that said, I don't blame everything on Ryan just like I didn't blame everything on Wade. This defense has been a mediocre bunch for years and years now with the same flaws existing with each and every coach. That is not a coincidence so it didn't surprise me that Wade's defense in Houston kicked ass just like it wouldn't surprise me if Ryan had a decent unit out in New Orleans.
Smarts and a nose for the ball go a long way, and our defense hasn't had much of either for about 7 or 8 years running now.
I'm not a fan of Ryan, but the point still remains....obviously his scheme is not so "complicated" that the Saints couldn't run it.McMahon can STFU. If I felt like looking it up I'm quite sure he was one of the guys throwing Ryan under the bus after he left.

It is amazing how we've drafted or acquired so many talented, yet flawed players. And it is those flaws that seem to have had a bigger impact on our wins and losses than their talents have.Wade failed, Ryan failed, now Monte Kiffin will fail, when in reality I don't think the defensive coordinating was bad under any of them.
