Diggs out of practice for an “illness”??

Hey, how about we all take a week off work after that abortion of an effort he had against the Giants. Talk about illness.

Dude who didn't know what the fuck he was doing during the game because he missed all of camp and all offseason (Down in Florida rehabbing instead of being with team) misses practice the week to maybe figure shit out because his tum tum didn't feel good? Just fucking ridiculous. I'm done with Diggs after this year. Unfortunately there is nothing we can do right now because we are so thin at corner waiting and praying for Bland and Revel to save the day in a couple of weeks.

Yep, that's where we're at. We have to hope he gets his shit together.

(There's probably no hope for Elam.)

I mean Elam may show moderate improvement too but I don't hold out great hope for him. I think he is sort of what he is. Diggs at least is sort of coming off no camp, a very serious injury and has shown in the past he can be a probowl level corner. So the hope is that he will fix some of this shit.

I got Steele and Elam as the two worst starters on the team right now, so yea.
The thing with Steele is we have a backup that is young and at least looked pretty good in camp and preseason. We don't really have options with Elam right now so that's sort of a just wait and hope with injured guys coming back. Steele on the other hand has a backup right now who in my opinion is just a better player than him. I actually think there may be two backups better than him frankly. I think Thomas is better than him and I think Adeniji is better than him. With Steele I really think the only reason he is still starting and playing is because of the contract.

Although right now I kind of feel the same about Wilson. Although I think it's a combination of contract and leadership for him. I think he is really viewed as a leader on this defense. But in terms of talent he just doesn't have what it takes to be a starting safety. And yet he is out there playing like 100% of the snaps.

Wilson is a good player, he just isn't a deep centerfield cover type safety. He's a big-hitting box safety.

He's not as good as Roy Williams, but it's kind of the same principle.

He was a good player. I don't know if I see that anymore from him. I don't think he was very good last year either frankly. And it's probably a combination of age and scheme. The guy is 30 years old. And for a big hitting box safety he is only 205 pounds and frankly just got run over like nothing happened by a rookie RB last week. So I think there is some level of decline in his play and I think there is some level of he isn't playing in a Quinn system that's running 3 safeties at times and really only ever asking one safety to play deep (Which was not Wilson).

I don't think Quinn is coming back any time soon. And I don't see Eberflus committing to only using one safety deep and never using Wilson as the deep safety. At this point I think Wilson is a limited player that probably doesn't fit what we are doing anymore.

I know he wasn’t with the team, but wasn’t there a bunch of chatter about Diggs not rehabbing aggressively, fucking around down in FL even when he was cleared to be back in Dallas etc etc? Just seems like he got paid and he’s like, F this noise, I’m just here marking time.
He looks like a very slow, out of shape CB who lacks emotion and drive. I saw very little effort from him against the Giants.

That all tracks, although he did come back from the injury sooner than expected. Most thought he'd come back around a month or two into the season.

I believe it came out that the team was disappointed in his rehab efforts during his previous injury.

I would trade him before the deadline. Someone out there will still be enamored with his potential and the possible benefit of a change of scenery
