I know he wasn’t with the team, but wasn’t there a bunch of chatter about Diggs not rehabbing aggressively, fucking around down in FL even when he was cleared to be back in Dallas etc etc? Just seems like he got paid and he’s like, F this noise, I’m just here marking time.
He looks like a very slow, out of shape CB who lacks emotion and drive. I saw very little effort from him against the Giants.
I think that was more about the previous rehab. The problem on this rehab was more about the fact that he just wasn't around the team at all, so they didn't really know. Ultimately the rehab had him back much sooner than expected. But the real problem is with a new coaching staff he missed basically everything. And frankly it shows on the field.

I'd expect him to be a little out of shape. In an ideal world we would have continued getting him in game shape like we did week 1 where he only played a fraction of the snaps. It's hard to go straight from rehab to play 100% of snaps on defense in this short of period of time. My real problem is he had no fucking clue what his responsibility was or the responsibility of guys around him.

I think the guy is totally tuned out. I don't know that he has any trade value otherwise I would consider it as well. Of course if he does get his shit together to improve trade value, I don't know that I want to trade him.

Elam was also significantly worse than Diggs in my opinion.

Diggs is of course paid much more, but still.
Elam looked scared out there. Like a guy who got burned deep too many times and was just going to give up everything as a result.

It's impossible to play corner in the NFL without confidence. I also think our soft ass schemes don't help. Let the big corners get up there and knock the receivers around a little. Instead we give totally free releases.

Yea he was lining up 8-10 yards deep and in a full backpedal once the WR was about 5 yards down the field.

He was horrendous and as soon as Bland as back I'd bench him.

I don't think Diggs, with his balky knee, can hang with young fast wideouts anymore. And the Giants had two of them.

Diggs was never a burner. He won by getting his hands on dudes and with great instincts. I'm glad this happened in week two in a game we ultimately won. But Diggs hasn't been perfect in some time. He has always had some of these struggles.

Yeah, at one point I wondered how much Revel would even get on the field once he gets back. Just because Elam seemed to have such a lock on that position after a great camp. But after the Giants game I no longer have that thought. I was ok with the deep pass he blew against the Eagles. That shit happens and honestly if he had got his hand in the right spot he knocks that pass away. So he was at least right there. Against the Giants though it was embarrassing. He wasn't even in the same zip code as the guy he was supposed to be covering.

He's literally not hitting his full stride. His injury has taken most of his makeup speed, at least at this point.

We're screwed either with or without him given the depth situation at the moment.

Bland makes a major impact when he's healthy on the field, even if he isn't running interceptions back for TD's. That guy needs to come back, like now.

Maybe the long term answer is to convert Diggs to FS if Revel proves himself and we draft a third starting CB? Elam is purely a depth/rotation guy whom we should churn with a 4th/5th round pick.

What's the deal with Muku? Just safety depth? Can't get on the field?

Butler, Revel and Carson are the corners I'm guessing we expect back at some point.

Edwards and Gordon are almost certainly out, on top of Johnson of course, so they're going to be down both starting CB's and a starting LB.

Lamb and Pickens might both go over 100 this week.

I’ve got Lamb to go over 64.5 in PP
