Why was it shot on a camera from 1985. I'll just have to trust what he says because I can't see much of anything in that video.
I thought the same thing, our running game was struggling but I didn't notice the Rams running game completely killing it either. What's posted on the site isn't all-encompassing, but from that and the social media clips I only saw one big run on each side (Kyren for them, Javonte for us).I watched the redzone portion and zipped through the main part of the practice they put up on DC.com and it didn't look as bad as I expected based on the reports. It's hard to tell from the ground angle camera but I'm not sure it was the complete domination people claimed. Part of the problem on offense is Grier played a lot when Milton went out and he's obviously not good. But our starting redzone offense with Dak seemed okay. The biggest problem I saw is our secondary with scraps like Booth and others looks pretty terrible.
Yeah, you know Smith being out was a huge part. When I watched it was pretty much all Bass or Hoffman in there.I thought the same thing, our running game was struggling but I didn't notice the Rams running game completely killing it either. Tyler Smith was also sitting out most of the reps on the offensive side.
And defensively it seemed like most of the passing plays were against Booth or one of the other schlub DB's. I think I saw Hooker give up a big play on a bit of a misdirection, but aside from that almost every downfield passing play was on Booth, Pride or someone of that ilk.
Also, I'm sure it's a factor that the Rams have had stable systems on both sides of the ball and we're new on both sides.
Yep, I'm worried about our defense especially. It wasn't good last year and I'm not sure what makes it better this year. Other than edge rusher I'm not sure we're good anywhere. That's a legit point.
But there are so many variables this season that I'm going to assume we're not good until proven otherwise.
At the very least our depth is kind of shit so injuries have a strong potential to derail the team.
I think our LB group is going to be one of the best we've had here in a long time.Yep, I'm worried about our defense especially. It wasn't good last year and I'm not sure what makes it better this year. Other than edge rusher I'm not sure we're good anywhere.
Run D will always be meh unless they find a legit 1T to clog it up. IMO it is an absolute necessity with a Glover type undersized 3T (Osa) that has been glossed over by management and every fuckin coach that has ran in and out of here for a long time.I think our LB group is going to be one of the best we've had here in a long time.
You usually don't need more than 2 LB's on the field and I'm comfortable with Murray, Sanborn, Liufau and Overshown once he's back all being starting caliber guys. I'm hopeful on James as well.
But yea, the defense is similar to what it's been for a while now, dominant edge/speed rush, but you need to stop the run to get there. The defense was pretty decent last year once Parsons and Bland came back so I'm hopeful, but it's all going to come down to how well they do against the run.
If they can be average vs. the run I think it'll be a top 10ish unit, if they're terrible, well...you know.

They tried with Mazi, but he's a dullard and then they compounded things by dicking around with his weight. If he had a Zimmer-type DC asking him to play the role he played last year I think we'd all be fine with him.Run D will always be meh unless they find a legit 1T to clog it up. They've worked themselves into a real situation by counting on Revel coming off the injury.Outside of Bland I'm not sure the corners are any good. I have a feeling the quick hit routes are going to crush us pretty consistently and offset our pass rush. Especially if we play off the receivers a lot.

It's kind of wild because if Diggs and him were generally healthy we'd probably have an excellent CB group, but they aren't and they don't seem to have much urgency about themselves in terms of signing a guy like Gilmore.
You don't necessarily need the uber CB's when you play more zone as Eberflus will, but they could very easily be screwing themselves with the overoptimism on injured players coming back, which is an annual tradition.
I think they're going to suck. I'm not buying this camp hype that a guy Buffalo unloaded for nothing is suddenly a good player. That's not a stupid organization anymore.Outside of Bland I'm not sure the corners are any good.
