So, Jayden Daniels has already missed two games this year, and had to miss nearly half of this one. All with leg injuries. And we're not even to the halfway point of the season yet.

I figured he'd break down with his playing style, but I'm a little surprised it's already happening this early.

In the last 4 games, Jake Ferguson has 24 receptions for 152 yards. But those are the only numbers his detractors will tell you.

26 total targets. 24 receptions. 10 first downs. 6 TDs. 2 incompletions.

So, 61.5% of the time he's targeted, we come away with a first down or TD. 30.8% of the time, positive yardage. 7.7% of the time, an incompletion.

Yeah. I'll take those numbers.


Especially when you consider he's having plays called for him like that awful shovel pass.

But I'll give him credit for getting into the endzone quite a bit as of late so I'm hoping that means he's learning how to become an effective redzone target.

I was being tongue in cheek in saying that but I actually do think more than anything else dynamic pass rusher is our #1 team need.

And if he’s healthy I’m not sure we are better off with the space and firsts. Depends who we select.

We weren’t gonna pay him so it is what it is but I’m not convinced that trading him was the best if they are trying to win.
