While the Chiefs aren't still "the Chiefs" exactly, their defense is still absolutely elite by almost any metric (top 5-10 in both yards and points, among other things).
They had only give up 30+ points once this year, to Jacksonville, a total that was aided by a pick-6 and some other flukey stuff. Jacksonville only had 319 yards of offense which doesn't usually translate to that many points without turnovers/defensive scores.
The 457 yards was the most KC had given up all year, only Buffalo had gone over 400 so far. They had only given up 350+ three times total before tonight.
The 320 passing from Dak was the most they've given up all year, the Chargers/Herbert were the only team to previously go over 300 and that was in the opener.
Tonight's game was a good example of the type of potential this group has as long as they can keep Pickens. The skill position talent is almost unstoppable over the course of a game unless the OL falls apart or we shit ourselves with mistakes. I said recently that I thought Lamb/Pickens had the potential to rival the best WR duos of the last 20-30 years and I stand by that, you have to keep them together by any means necessary.
