Tragically, nobody is. And even if he were, we drafted him, so we don‘t trade.

And honestly, we have next to zero relationships at the the GM level amongst the younger guard, so I don’t think they are bothering unless they are selling.
Yep, our GM is just an old man who's sitting back waiting for the phone to ring.

You have to be pro active and strategic to pull something like this off. Jerry will never pull anything off without that.

Which is why when he wants to take credit for the Walker trade I laugh my ass off. There is a reason we haven't accomplished a trade even in the same galaxy as that one since.

I haven't seen the new documentary and won't watch it, but I can't believe he now wants to take credit for the Herschel trade. Everybody knew that was all Jimmy. I've never even heard it claimed that Jerry was behind it, except for kicking in the million dollars at the end to get Herschel to agree to it.

He's trying to hide it in the "I'm the owner so everything had to be approved by me". He even claimed that Tex Schramm talked to him before he got rid of him and said "you know that you only have one good player. You should trade him" as if that was proof that backed up his claim.

Jimmy refuted it all stating that it was in his contract that he had everything to do with player acquisition/trades.

A weird thing to say considering Irvin was on the team.

I didn't realize how much hatred Jimmy and Jerry had for each other. Looking back you can easily see it in all of the footage with body language and expressions.

Dont be fooled. Its still there. They are trying to cover it up but while being interviewed about each other there were fake compliments and gratitude thrown out but there were too many pauses and facial expressions to be fine and dandy with each other.

They just need a cage match to get out all of the pent up anger.

I find it all exhausting. All these years later they're still bickering like children. Enough already.

It is. Neither is going to change.

Im sure it's probably Rosie that we have to thank for Jimmy even being inducted into the RoH. No way does Jerry do that on his own.

I'm encouraged that he thinks X's and O's coaches matter, but he was overruled by daddy.

I feel like Jimmy put it behind him a lot more than Jerry, though I admit that could partly be an act to get Jerry to put him in the ROH.

With Jerry, though, you can tell it's absolutely real. The body language, all of it. He can't stand Jimmy and feels like he was forced to put him in the Ring.

Irvin had shown zero up to that point. May even have been hurt at that moment.
Scored three TDs vs the Skins his rookie year, with Pelleur throwing to him. He certainly qualified as a "good" player even at that point in his career.

He had 32 catches for 650 yards. I wouldn't blame Schramm if that didn't really enter his radar as a good player yet. Irvin didn't really emerge until 91.

Bayless said Jimmy wanted to trade Irvin, not Walker, when he first got to Dallas. His staff told him to sleep on it and he changed his mind.

Wow. Does anyone believe that? I don't. Jimmy loved his Miami guys.
