In the interview with Irvin Jerry literally said, "I would've been a coach, I loved it, but coaches didn't seem like they were financially where I wanted to be. I was looking up and I wanted to be more. Had I known I'd be paying them what I'm paying them now I'd have been a damn coach."

So that basically confirms everything that all of us have assumed all of this time.

He was jealous of Jimmy, he was desperate to be a "football guy", and that's why he's been the demented piece of shit he's been for the last 30 years.

Cheers.

Just for fun here are some players who I'd be interested in trading Micah for (plus a bunch of picks obviously). Some of these players I think equate to roughly a 1st round pick in value, others a 2nd:

Gregory Rousseau - 1st
Odafe Oweh - 2nd
Rashan Gary - 1st
Edgerrin Cooper - 2nd
Devonte Wyatt - 2nd
Nik Bonitto - 1st
Alim McNeil - 2nd
Will Anderson Jr. - multiple 1's (Pretty much the only player I'd deal Parsons for straight up but I don't think Houston would.)
Laiatu Latu - 2nd
Travon Walker - 1st
Josh Hines-Allen - 2nd
Jared Verse - 1st
Kobie Turner - 1st
Keion White - 2nd
Will McDonald - 1st
Boye Mafe - 2nd
Calijah Kancey - 1st
Yaya Diaby - 2nd
Jeffery Simmons - 1st

Generally speaking if you're only talking picks I'd want at least two 1's and two 2's, so if you throw one of those players in you can generally count that as either a 1 or 2. But if you're talking about a team like Buffalo who will be picking very late in the 1st I'd need a little more (i.e. Rousseau and two 1's) vs. a shit team like Jacksonville where I'd probably be fine with Walker, a 1 and two 2's.

Some of those players I don't think their teams would even consider moving in a deal for Parsons like Jared Verse or Will Anderson Jr., but I figured I'd list them either way.

That's what I think. Just because we hate Jerry doesn't mean Mulugheta is some angel.
No you don't become the biggest NFL agent by being a buddy with the owners. Right now he is the biggest agent in the NFL. But that stuff shifts and changes. And I'm sure Jerry views this as some sort of a pissing match with the guy. It feels like this is less and less about Parsons and more about the agent vs the owner.

So.... Jer and Parsons hammered out the framework of a deal.
  • Parsons takes it to Mul and he probably pulls some lawyer BS and tells Parsons how he is getting fucked.
  • Parsons believes Mul rightly or wrongly.
  • Parsons now wants all teh monies.
  • Here we are.

Good thing we didn't just trade a 3rd for a WR who has the same agent.

Oh, wait.

Absolutely. Jerry definitely has a burr under his saddle about this agent, for whatever reason.

Exactly. I suspect Mulugheta took whatever they talked about as almost an opening offer and not an agreement. Then he personally gets butthurt that he wasn't doing all the negotiating himself, convinces Micah that Jerry is trying to screw him over, etc. And now Micah is sort of caught in the middle of this pissing match.

Someone is lying here. Because Micah says, and reporters like Jane Slater have reported, that Jerry has ignored Micah's agent and no offer has been submitted to the agent.

Jerry is saying that the agent told Jerry to stick the offer up his ass.

So...there was an offer apparently?

Who is lying?

Probably both but Jerry is a known liar so I will go with him.
