This place is hysterically ZONE like in member's ability to twist themselves into knots blathering about how Eagles' players aren't good or are overrated.

And I'm sure that Dak "In the Headlights" Prescott would do anything in the playoffs on last year's Eagles squad. Guy shits himself in the playoffs. Pretty sure everyone here is probably on record with some kind of post about it.

When someone says they had an elite roster I'm not sure how you can claim this.
Indeed, I just said they had the best RB in the league, best OL in the league, a top 3 WR duo in the league and one of the league's elite defenses last year.

Oh, and in Hurts' 6 playoff wins he's averaged 23 passes a game, 167 yards passing and 1 TD a game. He has two playoff wins where he's had over 200 yards passing.

Not sure how anybody can look at that and say the guy is a top tier QB.

He's an average at best passer and an elite short yardage back.

He wouldn't have had to do much of anything except make 3-5 tough throws a game, maybe, with the rest being some sort of RPO/play action stuff, that's why he would've been fine.

Aside from that all he'd have to do is hand it off to Barkley for 5-6 YPC and wait for the defense to get a turnover or two.

Because when you start talking about an individual, the excuses start flying about how "he's not that good." Barkley? Only good because QB can run and/or OL dominant. Then same person a few days later will say OL only good because spectacular RB and running QB. :lol

Oh, and let's talk about how Jason Kelce WAS NOT a great center. :lol

Are these things you've heard people say or that you make up in your head?

Kelce is obviously an HOF center and Barkley, when healthy (big if), is an elite RB.

Its easy to do that when you are being carried. Do you think that he would have the same success in Dallas? Who do you think would have the better chance to match their success with the other team between the two?

I dont give a pass to Dak but you have to admit he has to do way more to be successful.

Hurts would have been benched in Dallas by now.

Going into the Super Bowl last year (so the first 3 games of the playoffs) Hurts had 505 yards passing and 3 passing TD's, and Barkley had 442 rushing yards and 5 TD's.

That sort of split is completely unheard of.

Yeah can't recall ever seeing any of this.

I hate the Eagles but Barkley was elite/elite last year. Their Oline is unbelievably good and they have the best Oline coach in the NFL in my opinion.

And I'll say in Hurts favor, his running ability is special in a unique way. His running power is excellent. But I think most judge a QB by their passing ability and don't really give credit for the legs portion. Hurts is an average passer. Not sure how anyone can really debate that. Just watch the guy.

It doesn't even matter. The Eagles, with the exception of Parsons, are as good or better at every position on the field. They have better coaching, and a far, far, far better front office.

Gonna be rough.

Yeah you just have to sort of hope that off season losses and regression at certain positions happen. The NFL is unique in that a few key injuries can change everything.

Barkley missing a few games could tank their season a bit.

Their offense last year was very up and down, especially when Barkley was kept in check, and there were many games where they were mostly stuck in the mud and relied on Barkley popping a random 60-yard TD late to break open a close game.

Of course this is because Hurts himself is a very average passer, so if Barkley (now 28) misses 3-4 games as he usually does, or regresses from what he did last year, they could easily end up around 10ish wins.

Still better than us on average for sure, but if we get a few breaks and they have a few things go against them I could see the records being close.

Fisher is full of shit but theoretically it'd be a no-brainer to trade Tolbert for Hall.

Both will be free agents next year, Tolbert is very unlikely to come back, and Hall is better than any of our current RB's. I also wouldn't be shocked to see Tolbert basically splitting time with Turpin.
