Everything is almost exactly the same between them in terms of accomplishments, stats, how far they've went in the playoffs, having superstar skill position talent at various times, up and down defenses, so on and so forth.

We can quibble about this defense vs. that defense or 2014 Murray vs. 2016 Elliott, but at a macro-level there's very little difference between the two.

But Dak played in an offensive explosion era.

It wont get done before FA. The hillbillies are that ignorant even when the reasons for signing them early are pointed out to them.
It's either going to get done in the next 4 weeks or they're going to franchise him next year and probably drag shit out until maybe this time next year.

The only thing giving me pause compared to something like Lamb is that it seems like there could be something personal going on, like Schefter said. It seems like they thought they could more or less iron out a deal directly with Parsons around the time of the draft, and then the agent shit blew up.

It's all a bunch of ignorant, childish shit basically.

I thought Parsons said he didn’t have to be highest paid defensive player. Wonder what changed?
Yea I remember at some point in the last year or so this joker implied he'd be just fine on something around 30/year.

Between him and Dak you got two of the biggest liars imaginable, I'd respect them more if they just came out and said they want to maximize their contracts as much as possible.

I don't see where it says he's demanding to be the highest player.

I think it's just as possible that they're trying to way underpay him (based on possibly saving money by franchising him instead), or the years or something like that is a bigger issue.

I’m sure I’ll get smacked in the head for saying this, but let’s get it out there. I love Parsons, but he’s a one trick pony. I love his motor, I love the passion but at the end of the day he’s not big enough to rush 40 plays a game and it shows in the late season.
Maybe they’ll use him a bit differently this season but it’s a lot of handwringing for a dynamic LB who is used more like a DE because Hillbilly Ownership is too lazy and cheap to sign true difference makers at DE.
My worry is the way he recklessly rushes the passer and the way OL hold him and pull him. We’re literally one play away from him popping an ACL or an Achilles and being done for the year or worse yet being half of what he was before he signed his upcoming break the bank deal.

I agree 100% and have said the same thing for awhile. How can you demand to be the highest paid DE ever when you are a total liability against the run at that position? You're not Miles Garrett who is a nightmare rushing the passer and can hold your ground at the point of attack against the run and it is a joke that he would be paid more than him.

If Parsons was wrecking havok from every position on defense like his rookie year, I'd have no problem with his demands.

I also worry about this in a scheme like Eberflus' that historically doesn't have much disguise or variety.

Maybe he's added some wrinkles, but if we could get a huge haul (two 1's, a 2 and 3) I'd definitely consider it, especially since Ezeiruaku is another undersized guy.

We'd be much better off in a 3-4 these days if we had a nose.
