Now this would be a massive risk unless it's something very pared down like what they gave Armstrong a few years back (2/12ish).

Ferguson I think we know what we're getting more or less, Williams on the other hand...

While I'd give Romo the slight edge, I think they were roughly equivalent also... though of course Dak's story isn't over. He could get better (I doubt it, but maybe) or he could fall off. So far it doesn't look like Dak is going to be like Romo and just get better and better until his body gives out.

I will say I don't remember Romo crapping the bed as much as Dak at the start of big games. Some of those games where we got behind fast were not just on the defense but on Dak, too, for throwing picks or just going three and out several times in a row until we were in a big hole and the other defense started playing softer.

Also, it's interesting to me how much the game has changed just in that time. It wasn't the 90s or earlier, but go watch an old Romo game and things are so much more old school and physical. It was harder to play offense back then when they let you play defense. Back then if you had a ten point lead late the game was pretty much over, unlike now when these late comebacks seem to happen every week.
No QB, maybe in history, has had the red carpet rolled out for them as a rookie more than Dakota. Day one: legendary OL, top 5 RB, impact veteran WR, HOF TE.

Ben Rapistburger, had a better defense in 2004. Dan Marino had better WR’s, defense, and coaching

Let's hope Booker is ready after all. Or maybe Hoffman, the gift that keeps on giving.
Booker is like the definition of NFL-ready as far as prospects are concerned, I'm not worried about him at all. There will be growing pains of course but there's no chance he'd get beaten out by anybody on the roster at RG, and that includes Jones if he was healthy.

We'll see but reports haven't been glowing so far.

Yes I know it's early but I'm just saying the teams planned safety net is gone so I wonder if they'll put hoffman with the 1s for now or if they'll pretend that Booker earned it.

He's right, it would check a lot of boxes: Often injured and a Talented Jerry Pet.
And yet there are members on this board who actually believe this team has a legitimate chance of going to a SB each season.
It’s the Jones GM black book that only they think works.

1. Blow smoke up everyone’s ass at the beginning of the regular season.
2. Come up short.
3. Rinse, deflect, act like the last season didn’t happen.
4. Blow smoke up everyone’s ass again as to why the team came up short.
5. Ignore key weaknesses in the team.
6. Play grabass in signing key personnel they do have.
7. Sign JAG personnel that no one understands.
8. Blow smoke up everyones ass at the beginning of the training camp.
9. Repeat annually.
