That might be a little bit of a stretch. But if Williams and Sanders Brodney Pool themselves, you never know.
I mean I wouldn't be shocked if he gets 10-15 touches a game. But in our backfield I doubt anyone is really used as a lead back. Not unless Jevonte suddenly looks like he did his rookie year. Then he could have a chance.

I doubt Blue will be our "starter" because he's kind of one-dimensional at the moment and isn't amazing in pass protection right off the bat, but there should be a few games where he has the hot hand and has the most touches, especially when we go pass-heavy.

Even Pollard barely cracked 100 total touches in his rookie season. But he had Nose Rings in front of him.

Yeah totally diffirent situation with Zeke there. He was a workhorse who could do everything at that time.

With Jevonte Williams as the veteran back it's a different story. Plus you know Blue is going to look best in practice because no one really hits or tackles. So his speed will make him a standout. He better figure out the fumbles though because that's the fastest way to get benched.

Without a doubt. I even if it means he goes to sleep and showers with a football every day and night “high and tight”.

His pro day speed was even faster than his already insane combine time. Pass blocking, fumbles, and health stand in the way for this kid, just like anyone. He has the talent to go far. It would be great to have found an even faster version of Pollard.

If I'm not mistaken I remember the same "buzz" around Deuce Vaughn 2 years ago.
Totally different players. But yeah fans were excited about the little guy. Unfortunately outliers rarely work out. 5'5" 179 pound RBs with 4.56 speed almost never do.

Yea Blue ran a 4.38 and has good size for a RB, he could conceivably be our starter at some point. Vaughn was never going to be more than a gadget change of pace guy even if he worked out.

Blue is much closer to Pollard coming out than Vaughn.

Blue’s time during his pro day was under 4.3

Yea if he can hold onto the ball he's going to be a real home run hitter even if it's just on 10-12 touches a game.
He is so damn natural catching the ball too. I know he dropped a couple easy passes. But he also caught some passes that would be difficult for a WR. If the coaches are smart he could be a real legit weapon out of the backfield. Not just screen passes, I mean a guy who can actually run some routes.
