Is it a mistake? YesClaiming that not extending Parsons is the biggest reason for taking a step back is laughable.
Is it a step back? Not at all.

If he had "starter potential" why was he available?Javonte has starter potential still, but would be great paired with another back who complements him.
Tannenbaum is a clueless idiot.
If everything goes right, I could see us winning 10 games and getting into a wild card. But the NFC seems to be on the upswing. Washington and Philly are both upper echelon teams. The NFC North is murderous. The West is pretty solid too. At least the Bucs should be good in the South, and maybe the Falcons if Penix turns out to be good. If I had to bet I'd say we don't make the playoffs next season.Taken a step back from 7-10? I don't agree with that.
We are treading water though. It'd be nice to use free agency to improve the team for once.
I like him more than most here do. But it's hard to argue with the drop off after the injury. But I wouldn't be shocked to see a bounce back year for him and a bump in the YPC. I see a lot that I still like about the guy. And I think he still displays really good balance and power.Javonte has starter potential still, but would be great paired with another back who complements him.
It is tough for three teams to make it from one division unless there is one dogshit division. If everything goes right, I could see us winning 10 games and getting into a wild card. Yeah I mean when you count guys like Lawrence who barely played last year, it's hard to mark that as a loss.Taken a step back from 7-10? I don't agree with that.

OK, boozenola. If he had "starter potential" why was he available?
I like the RB depth pickups, and if the Cowboys can get a solid talent in the mid rounds at RB, we should be fine at that position. I would hate to see us devote a first or second rounder to RB considering how many holes there are on this team.I like him more than most here do. The problem is midrounds is usually third/fourth and we have no fourth.I like the RB depth pickups, and if the Cowboys can get a solid talent in the mid rounds at RB, we should be fine at that position. Def no higher than a 3rd. 5th would be fine too.The problem is midrounds is usually third/fourth and we have no fourth.
I think we could find a starter in the fifth. But I'm really not comfortable waiting until then to take a RB.Def no higher than a 3rd. 5th would be fine too.
I also think he had a lot more to give us, especially in 23, but we just didn't ever seem to know how to utilize him to his strengths.I wish him the best. I just don't think he had the same speed an quickness anymore. He was still savy but that was about it.
UFL starts next week, doesn’t it?Just a suck time of year. A month until the draft, or any football, even UFL. And as always we are all in as usual.
There's a better chance that Golden goes before McMillan than of him being there at 44.
