Apparently we are all DFDC on this fine day.
I have been essentially saying it since the first gameday thread and how I started it. I knew this season was going to be a train wreck. As did most of us.

I said it all last offseason. The best way to help Dak is to have a real run game. And yet we went the opposite direction and went with fucking Zeke. You need to lighten the pressure on Dak so that it's not all on his shoulders. The cheapest and easiest way to do that is the run game. But wtf do I know.

And Parsons just needs the right role model. I think he is very pliable and has gone off the rails but can be brought back in with the right coach.

No, they went with Dowdle.

Dowdle has 59 carries so far, and that's with missing a game.

Zeke has 48 carries.

The plan was and is Dowdle.

Zeke is a sideshow.

The Dowdle plan is what is failing.

The Lance trade cost Dallas a running back this season. Maybe it cost the Cowboys a running game, period. The fourth round is when they all started going off the board last spring — Bucky Irving to Tampa Bay, Ray Davis to Buffalo and, yes, Isaac Guerendo, the 49ers’ third-stringer who cruised through the Dallas defense for 85 yards — and the Cowboys could only sit and watch. Yes, there were other opportunities later in the draft. Giants fifth-rounder Tyrone Tracy ran for 145 yards against Pittsburgh on Monday night.

Maybe the Cowboys could have used a Guerendo or a Tracy?

Going by that, you could make the argument that the Lance trade cost us the season.

And didn't I hear Jerry went solo on that decision?

I'm skeptical that any coach, even Belichick, can make this group tough. I think the lack of toughness is directly related to the way Jerry runs the organization. Don't like something, run to Jerry, although maybe it worked for a while with Parcells.

And the QB is mentally fragile. Until he stops looking like a deer in the headlights in every big moment, I don't think the offense will change. And our best player on defense chirps at every online comment and seems to be more interested in his weekly podcast.

I think we've had a lot of players come in who we thought might change that, but none of them have ever succeeded.

The rot is way too embedded to overcome this time. That 2003 team was a bunch of nobodies. We have some high-profile names on this team that act in such an entitled way, I don't think bringing in Belichick will move the needle. Not unless we make some trades.

So what are we looking at here in terms of a ranking?

1. Belichick
2. Johnson
3. Vrabel
4. Slowik

Maybe someone like Aaron Glenn as a wild card?

I can't really think of anybody else that should be in the running.
