Sorry you're right more like 6 billion on average (What the Skins went for)
The Bengals are the least valuable franchise, at about 4 bil. (unreal) Cowboys the highest at around 9 bil. According to NFL.com, the average franchise value is 5.11 bil.

Completely insane what these teams are worth nowadays.

Yeah and I think the Skins went for more than expected. I know Jerry has mentioned if he sold the Cowboys they would go for 10 bil+ and I don't doubt it. It's rare for an NFL team to hit the market. The NFL is a cash cow.

I'd bet they'd go for even more than that if they ever hit the open market.

I would bet that no single person would buy them. A massive bidding war would take place, with multiple people joining to get a piece of the most visible franchise in the world.

Just think... We could have Taylor Swift, Oprah Winfrey, Bill Gates and others as our owners. That would be sooooo awesome.

So this is going to be Florio's next crusade? :doh

Why TF does a rookie 21 year old "deserve" to own part of the team? We don't even know if the guy can play in the league yet.

Absolutely absurd. Imagine Zach Wilson or Baker Mayfield or others owning part of the Jets or Browns just because they were super-high QB picks. :doh

Seriously one of the stupidest things I've ever seen written.
The worst part is that before they started slotting contracts for draft picks, Florio was all about bitching that rookies got overpaid.

I'm an important contributor here :unsure. Therefore, I demand a 3% stake.

Massively retarded idea.

EDIT: Maybe they'd be required to have to sell their share back to ownership upon their no longer being a part of the team.
You would take something away from them that they'd already been given?

You monster.

The other thing would be if they started giving players a stake in ownership, it would give the most valuable franchises a big and unfair advantage in signing free agents.

Just a retarded idea that advocates aren't thinking through.

That would be a stupid fucking rule. You may as well just take the onside kick out of the game, especially having to declare it ahead of time. So damn dumb.
Declaring allows for loosening of other tactics, such as unbalanced alignments coming back.

Don't try to justify this idiocy.

More than anything that’s been happening during kickoffs, the lack of full-contact practices has contributed to no only the frequency of injuries but the severity of them. Players bodies just aren’t as tuned up on gameday.
