Judging from the way Sean Payton has completely fucked up the Russell Wilson situation, probably a good thing Jerry never brought him to Dallas.

And judging from how the Denver FO has fucked up damn near everything, there's at least one FO more dysfunctional than Jerry's.

Robots and cameras eliminated lines people in tennis. Put an end to any arguments.

The optical technology might not be any worse that the guestimating and eyeballing they use now. The way the refs spot the ball is a process of scientific wild-ass guessing. Then a ref on the sideline eyeballs where the ball is and puts his foot down where he thinks the 1st-down end of the chain should go. If there's a big pile up on a third and short or fourth and short, the refs try to pick through the pile and make another scientific wild-ass guess where the ball should be spotted.

Fucking Florio, man. And, I am now to the point that Caleb can go fuck off.
So this is going to be Florio's next crusade? :doh

Why TF does a rookie 21 year old "deserve" to own part of the team? We don't even know if the guy can play in the league yet.

Absolutely absurd. Imagine Zach Wilson or Baker Mayfield or others owning part of the Jets or Browns just because they were super-high QB picks. :doh

Seriously one of the stupidest things I've ever seen written.

Again, that has to count against the cap right? And teams are worth what like 10 billion on average? The smallest percentage would be worth a fortune.

Yep, they couldn't afford even a tiny percentage of the team... and then Florio would just say the poor player is being oppressed because his stake isn't large enough.

But we know Florio doesn't think these things through. He's just pandering to the players like always.

Me too, it's so absurd.

No player deserves a stake in the team when they never put in a dime of risk in paying for the team.

And then on top of that like you said, many many top players including QBs bust.

It's such a a ridiculous and brain dead thought process.

Did they turn off comments on PFT? I went there and didn't see them anymore.

Guess Florio got tired of being ratioed to hell. :lol

What am I missing... comments on Twitter, or on PFT? Which seems to be at NBCsports.com now.

It's probably something obvious I'm not getting.

So how would this ridiculous notion of being given a partial ownership in the team work? It obviously couldn't be a permanent thing. Would they be given something like 1% (1% of the Cowboys worth is 90 million), and get to keep that permanently? If so, every time they did a contract like this, the percentage of the majority ownership would go down.

Would they have to relinquish their "ownership" back to the majority owner once their contract was up? If that was the case, then they really didn't have shit to begin with.

Massively retarded idea.

EDIT: Maybe they'd be required to have to sell their share back to ownership upon their no longer being a part of the team. And that begs the question how this would affect the cap. Would it be counted as spread out for as long as the contract? If that's the case, then this is nothing but just massively backloading the contract. Would that 1% be all accounted for on the last year? 90 mil hits all at once? Again... Massively retarded idea.
