Actually I'd try to trade him first.
Yep. I don't actually think it's worth just cutting him.

They had a projection of what it was before this tweet but I dont remember what it was. Anybody?
Yeah, I just don't see the point in keeping him around for one more year. I guess if you think he can win the Superbowl before bolting you do it. But truth is, if you don't redo the deal now, you can't franchise him. He is gone after next season. So I guess the question is, do you think he can win a Superbowl? If the answer is yes, you probably should extend him. If the answer is no? Why continue down the same path as the last 3 seasons? Of course, you can't say that if you're trying to trade him (Why you get a fifth for Amari Cooper) but someone out there would probably trade some legit assets. Maybe the Redskins would cough up a top pick.Yep. I don't actually think it's worth just cutting him.

I remember folks speculated $20M, so about $244MI believe the number I saw was 242 or 243.
Tiptoes. This post may awaken a sleeping son of deadrise. No @Yeah, I just don't see the point in keeping him around for one more year. I agree with this as well. All the discussion ends as soon as Jerry gets him to sign on the dotted line for another 4 years at 60 mil a season.Ah, academic discussions...
We all know Dak is nearing Family Portrait levels of Jerry Love, so he isn't going anywhere.
I'd bet @Cotton 's av on it.
Pretty sure I don't like your tone.I'd bet @Cotton 's av on it.
Since 2011, the 49ers have made the playoffs seven times, reaching at least the NFCC every time.
That's gotta hurt.I do not care about their pain. And, ultimately, losing. That's gotta hurt.
I won't even say bad. He is mediocre. Do you want to be stuck with mediocre when you have a shot at a QB who could be great. Not commenting on the specific QBs in this class but shit there are 3 that will go top 10. All three are probably better prospects. And honestly you have had Fields for 3 years. You should know what he is by now. If you're not ready to get married, you should probably take a guy while you have a chance. There is literally no one in sports media willing to say that Justin Fields just may be, just MAYBE, might be a bad QB.
I wonder why? Hmmmmnnnn

Time to move on. He’s like Kordell Stewart level.I think he's bad.
Depends how much you like a running QB. I think he is a bad passer but he can run like a demon. I average the two out to mediocre at best. And that's probably maxed out.I think he's bad.

he’s a throwing RBI don't like runners at QB at all so I guess that's true. I just think if you can't reliably throw the ball as a QB you're doomed to fail.
