The fourth round pick made him a roster lock. I just don't understand the end game. His contract is up after this season. So you develop him and let's say he becomes respectable enough to be the backup. Is he resigning? Or is he going somewhere with a chance to play?

And in no way in the world do I see us signing him instead of Dak. So ultimately what is the end game. Develop a guy you'll never use to sign somewhere else after the season?

Can you just respect the GM's philosophy?
