Vance should come out and in his opening statement say, "What can be (right hand point to sky) unburdened by what has been (left hand point to left)."

She'd seize up worse than Biden.

When is the last time we’ve seen a major party conceding to the other party in July?

I’ve never seen anything like this. Even when McCain was running, conservative media was telling us he was going to beat Obama.

I don't think they are conceding yet.

But I do remember Mondale being pretty listless in 84.

I mean there seems to be an awful lot of them basically saying we can't win with Biden. That certainly feels like conceding, except they clearly hold hope that maybe a replacement can turn it around.

So is Biden gone by today? Supposedly Pelosi had the Old Yeller talk with him.

Next question is who wants it? I guess it has to be Kamala, but whoever takes it is probably going to lose and their political career could be over.

Of course, maybe the Dems wouldn't mind getting rid of Joe and Kamala so they can run someone better in '28.

Either way, we’re rid of Kamala in January.

Biden stays and they lose badly, they run her at the top and lose badly, or they skip over her and she’ll have to go back to being a senator permanently.

My thought is, aside from Biden being obviously terrible, if they pull the same steal they did last time, too many would see through it.

If the sub in someone else, even Kamala, they can claim that the previous polling meant nothing and all these voters turned out for someone other than Biden.

Totally agree.

Also, just wondering, did Trump make a strategic mistake agreeing to such an early debate? If the same performance had happened two months later, it would probably be too late to make a change. Although I guess they could do anything they really wanted.
