So the same people who labeled stuff as misinformation but was later found out to be true, will get to decide what is misinformation and hold people accountable? Yeah that sounds like a great idea. And they call Trump Hitler. Pretty sure censoring anything that goes contrary to the man (woman) in charge was a big part of what happened in Germany.

And she calls it a threat to Democracy? Throwing freedom of speech in the trash is the biggest threat to Democracy I can think of.
Ministry of Truth. We've seen that movie before.

I saw that. Definitely a tossed word salad. Yet he knows his supporters will buy off on it.
It is and ultimately what I'd say is he doesn't really have a plan for paying for people's child care. It's not surprising that a Republican candidate doesn't have a well thought out plan for a wellfare program. He is trying not to say it but clearly day care is not on his agenda.

Democrats on the other hand will just offer to pay for everything with no means or ability to pay for it other than to print money and sink the economy. Ugh yeah, free child care for all, we will just cover those costs by taxing the rich more. Don't worry, the tax won't impact you. Oh you want free health care? Yeah, we will tax the rich more, unbelievable how much money we will have if we just tax them more. Student loans, forgiven, how will we pay for it? Tax the rich, make the big corporations pay... yada yada yada

And all the idiots buy this hook line and sinker too. Well Kamala said it will only be for those with a net worth of over 100 mil, that won't impact me.

And by the way, there are already subsidies for low income people to pay for child care. Now for people with money, child care costs are awful. I'm just getting out from under one child but 1,300 a month for two kids is what I was paying. Rates went up but I'm at least down to $693 for one kid a month now. Those costs would destroy someone in the lower income tax brackets. But those people get subsidies. In fact the rates for those folks are minimal at most. And if you think Kamala is going to create a welfare program to pay for child care for people making $100,000+ a year I think those people are about as dumb as they come.

Finally, the federal government shouldn't even be in this type of business. Those should be state run programs. I don't know why the Federal Government thinks it needs to supply the money to take care of everyone. Shrink the fucking Federal Government.

How do we even know what she believes or will do? She flip-flops every other day, and her campaign website still has no concrete economic policies on it.

You don't and that's honestly why she scares the shit out of me. In the end she probably won't accomplish any of the crazy shit she says. But if she did, some of that stuff is terrifying.

I agree with everything you said.

Yep, nor should it be. The idea that federal legislators or even worse the President should be making legislation and agendas specifically addressing the affordability of child care is laughable and absurd on its face.

Child care becomes more affordable as a residual of a strong healthy economy.

Exactly. And the fact that he gave a rambling answer is more a testament of his lack of slick political answers from having not spent decades on Capitol Hill fucking people over than anything else. He hasn't learned the art of "rolling with resistance."
