TD in garbage time.
I'm convinced.
The mental gymnastics amaze me.Reading the comments from Cowboys fans makes me hate them even more. How do you defend this shit?
While I generally agree, I ask again, what makes Helman and others so sure you could have signed CeeDee last year?
Yeah, re-signing guys early is a key component. This has been pointed out by me and others many times, and the naysayers always bemoan what happens if the player busts? You cut him and move on.It is kind of hard to do when they have a former waiter handling the cap.
There is plenty of motivation for a player to sign early. Not saying some guys don't want to "bet" on themselves but when you're already looking at being one of the highest paid at your position, most of the time waiting on that massive upfront bonus money isn't worth it.Yeah, re-signing guys early is a key component. The benefit of locking up a key player at below market value far outweighs the negative cap implications of having to move on early.
Is there? There's no doubt they make much more by waiting. There is plenty of motivation for a player to sign early.
