Biadasz is ok. I think we can do better.

We absolutely can do better.
Not only that but I want to do better. That's the difficulty, if you resign Biadasz you're no longer trying to get better at center. But I also can say Biadasz is a solid pass protecter. He is just a very average center.

We can definitely do better, and in general I'd feel solid about a OL that's Tyler-Bass-1st round center-Martin-Steele, but that's a potential house of cards if anybody misses any significant time.

I'd feel good about that Oline. Sure depth is a concern but you have to count on young guys too. You can't always have veterans and first round picks backing them up. But the position of concern is counting on Richards to backup LT. Hoffman is your center/guard backup. He isn't a starter but he can fill in at a respectable level. It's the swing tackle spot where you either think Richards can do it or you have to sign someone to be a swing tackle. Feels like we are signing a swing tackle every other year because we missed on Waletzko and Ball. If Richards was a miss the same problem continues. Would be nice if we could actually develop someone into that role.

Barton could theoretically be the starting center and backup LT if he ends up being the pick.

Yeah the only hard part is that I feel like the Cowboys hate shifting 2 guys for one injury. Now if it's long term sure. But I think that's why they kept trotting Edoga out at LT last year when Smith would miss time. They didn't want to move Tyler and move someone into Tyler's spot.

I don't disagree with you though. Of course that is razor thin in terms of having only one backup you trust. But I have to imagine Richards can fill some role. Even if it's backup guard. To some extent we have to be able to develop guys for these roles.

They're going to let basically every single FA of significance walk and follow that up with signing about 6 Olawale's, things are really looking up for 2024.

If you're serious about winning you can't just let 4-5 starting caliber FA's walk and backfill them with a few guys on 1 year deals and some draft picks.
You can if your QB is siphoning 60 million off the top of your salary cap
