I think McCarthy is kind of like Parcells, biased against little guys. I think we saw that with Deuce and Dowdle. So I doubt we even sign a smaller guy, and I kind of doubt we draft a guy like Irving unless he just really falls a mile.
Plus all the Joe Fans who'll be asking if he and Michael Irving are related.

Parcells had both Joe Morris and Dave Meggett, so I don’t think you are accurate.

Yeah, but he didn't like it. :unsure

Seriously, Morris was big, just short. And Meggett was just a change up guy.

Come on, man. You know Parcells was a size queen. He loved him some OJ Anderson way more than those guys.

I don't really know. His history with RBs with the Packers wasn't great. He had Aaron Jones who was a leading rusher with him. But he didn't become a 1000 yard rusher until after McCarthy left.

Other leading rushers:

Aaron Jones (2018)
Jamaal Williams (Only 556 yards, split carries with Aaron Jones 2017 season)
Ty Montgomery (Literally a WR who they played at RB 2016)
Eddie Lacy (Fatass draft bust 2015)
Eddie Lacy (Good year 2014)
Eddie Lacy (Prior to becoming fatass 2013)
Alex Green (Broken down shit season by then 2012)
James Starks/Ryan Grant (Pretty balanced split of carries 2011)
Brandon Jackson 2010

Anyway, I wouldn't say he has always had big backs but he also has basically never had a workhorse outside of the Eddie Lacy years. Who was actually better than I remember for the first two years. But then he got really fat for the next two and was awful.

He's been critical of his own willingness to burn Joe Morris out.

What you are basically saying is that he does not value the position and wouldn’t know talent there if it bit his weenie off.

Bucky Irvin isn't my favorite. I've heard some people who really like him. Really elusive so I get it. And maybe he is the next Alvin Kamara, I don't know. But there is no power. He may be bigger than Duece but similar in a lot of ways in my opinion. He just looks small. And one other thing that bothers me about Bucky is he is one of these guys who looks like he has a giant head compared to his body. Just doesn't look normal to me. Compare that to a Corum who is short but not small. That guys body looks big, his height just isn't. And he runs through a ton of tackles as a result.

Good call.

I wanted them to trade up to get Justin Madubuike in the draft (we stayed put and got Gallimore instead), and now Madubuike will be too expensive as a FA.

Question is, is Stewart good because he plays next to DeForest Buckner (who I wanted to draft over Zeke)

He will get that same kind of production protection here in Dallas next to Taco Mazi.
