I don't think it's going to matter in the end, but why on earth would Georgia go for that?

oh how I loathe the targeting rule. just throw a flag for a personal foul and be done with it.
Exactly.

It's a terrible rule and I'm glad the NFL hasn't adopted it.

I don't know but they should have had Beck keep it on a rollout.

These highly touted edge rushers who kind of started out fucking around are starting to get revved up here. Both Pearce and Mykel Williams had great games last night, good to see if we're going to be picking in the top 12-15.

OVERALL
Ashton Jeanty is the best pure and natural running back in college football. His running style is predicated on its natural flow, pacing, and tackle-breaking ability.

Jeanty is a patient runner who tempers his pace to allow his OL time to engage and secure their blocking assignments. With plus-level vision, he quickly finds daylight through designated gaps. Jeanty uses quick and decisive footwork to sift through the defensive front seven, breaking into the open field. He possesses lateral explosiveness to string together cuts, forcing missed tackles in a phone booth. He is advanced at navigating traffic and congested quarters.

Jeanty has an elite-level contact balance and is difficult to bring down. He pinballs off defenders and absorbs their attempted tackles while staying on his feet. Jeanty is a yards-after-contact merchant--his ability to get stronger upon defensive contact is impressive. Jeanty is a momentum runner who powers through arm tackles and delivers a stiff arm to break free from defenders. His burst and acceleration possess enough juice or explosive to pop through the line of scrimmage and reach top speed quickly in the open field. He has multiple long/explosive touchdown runs on his resume this season.

Jeanty must be stopped at the line of scrimmage or behind it. He is most vulnerable as a ball carrier when he cannot build forward momentum. Despite having a good burst to reach top speed quickly, there is no next gear after that. This raises questions on whether his ability to generate big plays (50+ yards) will translate to the NFL at the frequency it has in college.

Jeanty is a willing and competitive pass protector, but his technique needs refining. His hands and punches can be sloppy, leading to not securing his defender. At times, he approaches blocks with low hands, giving up his chest to second-level defenders attacking downhill with momentum. In short-yardage situations, Jeanty runs with a high pad level, which can limit his effectiveness in converting those plays. Running with lower pad leverage increases his ability to power through the defensive front for hard-earned, must-have yards.

Overall, Ashton Jeanty is a high-volume and playmaking running back. Between his bowling ball-esque frame and innate contact balance, Jeanty's game translates incredibly well to the NFL. The ability to create for himself with the ball in his hands is electrifying. He fits today's run offenses with wide zone and pin-pull gap schemes. Jeanty is a star-caliber bell-cow running back who can shoulder the load for an NFL rushing attack.

Even though he “runs tall”, he’s 5’9”, not 6’2”.

Eric Dickerson ran tall, too.

And he ‘s 6’3”; much more surface area to hit than a guy who’s 6 inches shorter.
Dude is listed at 5'9", won't be shocked if he is 5'8". Not sure I have ever heard the criticism that a dude that height runs too tall. And I disagree, he shouldn't change his running style one bit. The way he runs allows him to bounce off tackles like it's nothing. Don't change at all.

Dickerson ran tall in the open. When anticipating a hit he would lower his center of gravity considerably.

Texas was fined 250k for the fans throwing bottles on the field and they are "required" to try and identify the individuals. If found they will be banned from attending any sporting even for the rest of the academic year.

That seems to hard and harsh. They should just be given the death penalty to make it easier.

That mane!

The small all face with the eyes close together!

I swear I created that guy on a video game once and that was by accident.

:lol

My son used to do that on UFC. He created some ugly mfs. Then he would give them stupid names. :lol
