I’ve been a huge critic of McCarthy but no way is that POS in Philly a better coach. He does however have better players in a few spots. That’s not McCarthys fault.

An all CB first three rounds would be super exciting in these parts.Cornerback will be really iffy next year. Gilmore won't be back, and Diggs might not be ready for the season. Plus, he was never the fastest guy to begin with. We already have two guys (Gallup & Steele) who haven't done well coming off an ACL; we don't need a third. Prepare accordingly, Jerry.
I just watched this play again and even though Cooks comes open, I don’t know that Dark has a clear passing lane. He’s rolling to his left and with turnstile Steele on the right, who can blame him?
Yeah, I didn't post the clip to throw shade at Dak, but rather illustrate how Fergy could've ran a better rub route.I’ll give Dak a pass for not seeing Cooks on this one. This seems like one of those plays where you pretty much have to make up your mind where you’re going with the ball before the snap.
I see the slip you made here.I just watched this play again and even though Cooks comes open, I don’t know that Dark has a clear passing lane. He’s rolling to his left and with turnstile Steele on the right, who can blame him?
There was also a blitz and a free guy right up the gut. Dak didn't really have time here. He basically had to predetermine the throw. If I were to criticize anything it would be that once you see the blitzing guy up the middle you know the middle is wide open. So maybe that should be your first read. The downside it there is a guy right in your face and you're looking for a 5'9" WR, you throw it there and there is a good chance the ball gets batted because there is a guy in your face that direction. The throw to the left is easier because you have an easier passing lane there.I just watched this play again and even though Cooks comes open, I don’t know that Dark has a clear passing lane. He’s rolling to his left and with turnstile Steele on the right, who can blame him?
That's the whole point. If Dak throws the easy pass to Cooks no one would have ever seen or noticed the officiating. It would have been irrelevant. And that's why one official's call on one play really doesn't matter.Yes, Dak should have taken the better option, but what you're missing is that the option Dak picked ALSO WORKED except for the shitty, shitty officiating. You can't just ignore that part of it.
You did see the blitzer in the middle going unblocked right? Any concern that throwing in that guys direction is likely to lead to a tipped ball? That's the whole point. You could go back over 1,000 plays in a 100 games and find who knows how many bad calls? Try to apply some kind of paranoid mathematical formula to the outcome of those 100 games?
All this officiating conspiracy shit is delusional compensating — trying to rationalize an organization that's JUST NOT FUCKING GOOD ENOUGH.
Everyone on this board knows where the real deficiency lies, and it ain't with the refs.
Here’s a better breakdown.I just watched this play again and even though Cooks comes open, I don’t know that Dark has a clear passing lane. He’s rolling to his left and with turnstile Steele on the right, who can blame him?
There was no “easy pass to Cooks”.That's the whole point. If Dak throws the easy pass to Cooks no one would have ever seen or noticed the officiating. It would have been irrelevant.
It's all split-second, slam-bang, high-speed shit with guys flying in every direction. And yet the refs are supposed to make the perfect call. You did see the blitzer in the middle going unblocked right? Any concern that throwing in that guys direction is likely to lead to a tipped ball?
Recall Tyron played the right side when Steele was injured,
This is idiocy, this is basically saying we have a 13% chance at winning the division when we're two games behind in the loss column and only one if we beat them at home.
Why not, it’s their job. You expect it from the players. Specifically Dak on this play. It's all split-second, slam-bang, high-speed shit with guys flying in every direction. And yet the refs are supposed to make the perfect call.

And he has to scan the entire field before taking a hit. Each ref is assigned a specific area and job.
