Diversity too...
When you combine this sort of WWF sideshow bullshit that the league does with the ridiculously bad officiating it really makes you wonder to what extent the league looks to influence games, not necessarily to make sure a certain team wins, but moreso to keep games close and ratings high.

I go back and forth on it but allowing that fumble on the punt return to stand when it looked like we were about to salt away the game really does make you question if they consciously let borderline shit go in order to keep games competitive/tight to the end.

Zero doubt in my mind. They had robot actors planted in the stands there earlier this year.
She wasn’t even in the stadium. Disneyland, which owns ESPN, and their movie studios are minutes away

I didn't even realize that, I thought she was in the stadium at least. What a joke if she wasn't. Maybe they should start recording Iamtdg on his porch watching games too.

To clarify, I don’t know if at stadium or not. But, if paid actor, why take up an expensive suite seat. If we can simulate man on moon, surely a tightly cropped shot of a woman ‘in a suite’ in Hollywood’s backyard is plausible

This seemed like a good idea at the time.

Where did you come up with this? It is a penalty. I posted the exact rule above.
Right. Where the refs confused on which player got blocked into Turpin?

Item 1. Contact with Receiver. It is interference if a player of the kicking team contacts the receiver, or causes a passive player
of either team to contact the receiver, before or simultaneous to the receiver touching the bM. -
It is not a foul if a kicking team
player is blocked into the receiver-
or the contact is the result of a foul.

And Troy nor Buck had the sense to say a word. It was plain as day.
That’s because they’re prohibited from criticizing the refs. I read somewhere that it’s part of the contract that the NFL has with the networks. Can’t remember where I read it though.

You could tell that Aikman was starting to critique them and would catch himself. Towards the end, he just quit commenting all together on officiating.

Problem is you guys are quoting the wrong playbook. That is the NFL Rulebook. Go find the Dallas Cowboys Rulebook, you know, the one that has ‘running through the hold.’

Yea, it's pretty obvious that announcers are more or less muzzled compared to just 5-10 years ago. It's part of the reason they have these former officials on all the telecasts.
