This loss is what will do the Cowboys in this season. I don’t see them recovering from it. I don’t think they will even make the playoffs. It’s sickening. They have gotten worse and Prescott was exposed for who he really is. He isn’t even the same QB he was his rookie season. He is fragile mentally and now it’s in his head. He can’t see the field as there was receivers open and he either held on to the ball or was too late on the throw was off. He is bad, and it’s only getting worse. They all gave up during the game, made some business decisions on a lot of plays. This team is soft and when adversity hits they fold. I don’t see a NFC Championship game anywhere in the future anytime soon for this organization. The Jones’ have made them a laughingstock. I’m telling you Jerry needs to make things right and put Jimmy in the ROH because he clearly has a cloud over this franchise and needs to find a way to get out from underneath it and that would be a start, but even better would be to fire himself as well

I'm starting to get those 2019 vibes as well. Fast start to the season then quickly humbled and eventually fade into mediocrity.

All they can hang their hats on so far this season is that they can kick the crap out of trash teams. Even that win over the Patriots lost all of its luster once you saw that even the Saints disposed of them easily.

McCarthy and his ‘Texas Coast Offense’ don’t look like the answer. The results were worse than they were under Kellen Moore. That’s pretty damning for McCarthy. However I’m still ok with Kellen Moore being shown the door. He was basically a nepotism hire and those types of hires rarely work out in sports.

On a positive note I think Jerry Jones has at least been convinced now that Dak is not a QB they should continue to invest in and build around going forward. Let this contract play out, then move on.

Honestly, I don’t think Dak is good enough to win the division anymore let alone compete with SF. Might as well turn it over and develop Lance.
If they're hovering around .500 entering December, I'd be all for Lance taking over so that we can at least get an idea of what he looks like heading into the offseason.

I did a post last week where I wrote that if the Cowboys couldn't win this game they were doomed to be an also-ran again this season. I got burned at the digital stake for that statement.

Well not only did they not win, they got crushed. So to all those ignorant fucks who piled on, who thinks they're anything but an also-ran now?

And anyway, life just gets easier and less complicated when you accept also-ran status and move on. The Cowboys were an also-ran last year and they will be again next year. They have been for 27 years. It's like the natural cycles of the cosmos. The sun rises and sets every day, the seasons come and go. You can't root for or against summer or winter or spring, they just happen every year. You accept it.

Once you accept the natural order of the Cowboys' also-ran status, the natural order of things that never change, you can embrace other things in life: Family, friends, hobbies, fishing, golf, whatever.

Welp, the morning after what can you say but maybe these guys have been actually humbled now. Not fake humbled like after Arizona where they just overlooked someone and laid an egg, but truly humbled where they put plenty of focus into the game and still got destroyed.

Maybe now they'll realize that damn, we better practice and prepare our asses off and do every detail perfectly all week if we want to even have a chance to win on Sunday.

To be fair you would say that even if they won.

I wasnt one of the ones you are talking about but I will say I think it would have depended on how we lost. If it was competitive and we lost then no I dont think they would be an automatic also-rans.

Here is the sad reality: we are as good a defense as Philly and SF, but our offense is woefully behind theirs. Each of them have elite running games led by better backs than we have, and each of them have TWO high end CD Lamb caliber WRs instead of one, and each of them have an elite TE. Finally, they each have non elite but competent QBs capable of racking up yards and points. Ours can no longer push the ball downfield (not that he ever was really able to do this consistently).
