It's kind of stunning (and stupid) that we never seemed to adjust to the Bills game plan. On either side of the ball.
Do we even have the personnel to do so? Parsons is our biggest LB at 245 lbs.. Regardless of was ppl may think about him, it was a significant loss when LVE went down.

Next year, we need to address OL, LB, and RB...

It's ridiculous the contortions people have gone through to downgrade him, that they don't do for other QBs. I'm sure a lot of it has to do with his draft status and that people don't want to believe he's for real.

He's almost certainly the frontrunner now. I can't imagine anyone else winning at this point.

I don't like it but it is what it is.

Of course. We could throw an extra lineman in or two. Play Micah, Evans, and Clark. We don't have to play nickel and dime all the time. Crazy talk, I know.

Okay, our defense is smallish and was pushed around. But how do you explain the no-show on offense? The game should've been a shootout with all our weapons. And no one will mistake Buffalo for the '85 Bears.

I think it's a mixture of personnel and scheme limitations.

We don't have much depth at DT and Quinn seems to prefer those safety-LB tweeners like Kearse as part of his base defense.

It feels like our only hope of making a deep playoff run is for teams to get impatient and abandon the run against us.

Agreed but at some point you have to do something to stop the damn run. It was like they made no adjustment and accepted that they were just going to get their asses kicked.

I can only assume that the Bills showed one thing pre-snap then after the snap immediately jumped into positions that Dak wasn't anticipating, because he did a lot of double pumping and holding onto the ball yesterday. Whereas over the last 2 months the ball was leaving his hands at the top of his drop, on time and one target.

Agreed. I'd have dropped an extra body into the box and made that mistake-prone QB of theirs beat us with his arm.

Great question.

That was definitely happening, but while it makes it more challenging that can't just shut down the offense or we're going nowhere.

What?

How the hell did you get that from what either of us said?

I simply agree with Geng that that last game of the season was not meaningless to either team.

They both played to win.

Where the fuck did you get "I knew the Giants would be Superbowl champions" from what either of us said?
I was trying to make a point that a team simply has to go on a streak and get hot at the right time and used the 2007 Giants as an example.

Someone else brought that game up as if it were some sort of springboard to the Super Bowl. That is revisionist history at best.

If Dallas loses a close game to Miami next week and both play to win, are you declaring that game to be a springboard to the Championship?

I didn’t think so.
