Bergeron was just one of the options. Steve Avila would have solved the LG problem. So would Joe Tippmann, Cody Mauch, Myers or even LaPorta.

I don't agree that this is hyperbole. He showed me that he can play and succeed against NFL level speed, which is the one thing I was concerned about. He is legit.

Yep. Including his big run a couple posts above, there wasn't really much hole there. But he found one.

That's at best a 2 yard run for Dowdle or Davis.

I just started the game over and I will start with tracking Mazi Smith's snaps.

1st Series
1 - Single blocked by Jaguars starting C Luke Fortner.
2 - Combo block by reserve guard Blake Hance and starting LT Walker Little which ends up with Little tossing Smith to the ground.

I agree. He'd get on the field even if he can't pass protect because he's such a good runner, but it's very limiting. But if I had to guess, he'll be mostly fine in pass protection. He doesn't seem like the type to let himself have a glaring weakness for long.

I am not confident Waletzko is a swing tackle. At all. Just no awareness and he's passive to boot.
