He was a relatively high draft pick from Boise I think by the Giants, interesting that we're bringing in so many guys that played so recently as lower level coaches.

Yeah that was one of those first examples of "this is the scouts top guy" but he isn't what the coach wants. Was that the year we traded down and took Frederick? Which yeah moving down from 18 to 31, we got pretty shitty value in the trade. But on the flip side of it we got Frederick who was a better player than Floyd.

Yes, it was also the impetus for McClay taking over the draft process, and I think largely the impetus for Stephen more or less taking over the overall football operation.

Terrance Williams was a good #2 type for a bit. But for the most part that draft was trash outside of the first. Especially when you consider the extra third round pick.

Yeah that's brutal. But the entire NFL missed when you really think about it. If everyone knew what he would become he would have been a first round pick.

Yea, we've been one of the best drafting teams since 2014.

Without looking at anything I'd also guess that we've had one of the best regular season records in the NFC over that time as well, despite having that anchor of a HC around our necks for the majority of that time. Of course we all know what's been missing, so hopefully they can get over that hurdle here sometime soon.
